since i got a civic, i decided to try to join the community

holy crap.

you guys would not believe the things people post on this forum!!!

example one:

Hey guys I'm new ,I just brought a K&N drop in Filter for for the stock box but I wanted to make sure if this is where the the air filter is at?"

yes, this guy actually needed help finding his air filter. after that, he needed help removing to cover to the air filter.

example two:

in ur opinion for a car which is just used for daily driving, no drifting & no racing
which setup would be the best (im talking about driving condition, not money)

- tein stech springs w/ kyb agx or tokico shocks ?
- tein basic damper ?
- tein super street damper w/out uppermount ?

yeah this guy apparently doesn't know what "spring rate", "undervalved", or "over-hyped" means. my answer : best for daily driving = stock.

example three:

I was just wondering what you guys think is too heavy for an 18" wheel. Keep in mind that I am dealing with the fact that my car is not fast, so the track is not a factor. Well, for now anyway . I guess stopping distance is my biggest concern. Although I don't want it to take for ever to pull away at a light. If you have what some would consider heavy rims please post there size and your feelings about there daily driving performance. Thanks

he was actually wondering if running 18" 21lb wheels on a 115 horsepower 110 foot pound car was going to make the car feel slower.

some guy actually answered saying that the 21lb wheels are only 5 lbs heavier then stock, so 20lbs extra weight shouldn't matter too much.

i feel dumber now. :banghead:

awww man! i was gonna do the same as you poopy.. i'm looking for either a civic or an 88-91 prelude. maybe browse a forum or two, just to see what's up. then i realized. my car's gonna be a DD. the only thing i'm gonna touch is the suspension and wheels/tires(16" wheels, not no fuckin ugly ass 18's) cause i might autocross a few times.

i guess i'll be staying away from there. thanks for being the scapegoat poopy!
