tobacco is a stimulant

tobacco gives you a buzz
so does marijuana

marijuana and caffeine were compared to each toher by giving a spider a dose of each

the caffeine mad the spiders web erratic and out of order

marijuana the web was normal

so realy whats so bad about marijuana

i've never smoked cigarettes, so i wouldn't know. but marijuana on the other hand, it's the only drug i've ever done. and quite frankly, i think that if it got legalized, the quality would suffer compaired to SOME of the stuff that's out there.

Tobacco isnt something most people can grow in their backyard or inside their house. Therefore, the government can control the manufacturing and distribution of it which makes them an unbelievable amount of money due to the high tax rates. Marijuana on the other hand, im sure you've all known people that grow/have grown marijuana in a domesticated environment. It isnt hard to grow, it isnt hard to harvest, and it's stronger than tobacco. So, if marijuana were legalized, people would be growing it left and right, underselling the government and it would be tax free. This would also cut down on tobacco use. So, the short answer is that the government can make money off of tobacco, but marijuana profits would be very minimal.

Any substance can be taken to an extreme. Alcohol and tobacco are just as harmful to the human body (some argue more harmful) in comparison with marijuana. Alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana ALL harm the body the first and every time it's used. All three also have severe long term effects, the government can just control the manufacturing and distribution of alcohol and tobacco, therefore it makes them money.

Personally, the governments argument that marijuana and all other "drugs" should be illegal due to their toll on the human body is what im going to stand with when it comes to alcohol and tobacco too. They ALL harm the body, ALL can be overused, and ALL are taken for the same effect.

Profit or not, our government has the responsibility to control such substances, and they dont fulfill those responsibilities as long as they make money. Just another problem with our government.

truth is anyone can gro anything aslong as they have the resources

pot needs humidity and a tropical climate
tobacco needs a climate similar to the southern states which isnt hard to create using a green house for either
