There's no milk, no bread, no firewood, grocery stores/Wal-Mart is an absolute mad house, all for a little ice and barely a full inch of snow.

well yes. u now how it is around here. alittle ice/snow and people FREAK OUT. got back about 45 min ago from taking wife to work. went by walmart first and got bread(6 loaves, guess she thinks this stuff's going to stick around awhile), sandwich meat and afew other things. the roads aren't that bad, but then again i know how to drive in this stuff. too bad i aint got the 7 to play with.

We have almost no snow or ice, They say it will do something by lunch time.

I've been here 4 years, and it hasn't been bad since 2004 when it snowed for 4 days straight and the roads were truly bad.

Since then, all we've had is this bullshit winter weather that blows over by noon, and people just go crazy over nothing.

Even if it did stick around, it wouldn't be long. It'll be nice and sunny @ 54 degrees tomorrow.

It snowed 1.5" of real fluffy snow over night, big whoop. Road crews don't even blink at that, because it just disappears. It's snow, not the end of the world.

My question is, what the hell are you going to do with a bunch of milk, bread, and water? Eat egg sandwiches and water for breakfast, lunch, and dinner?

I bet those suckers who bought all that shit feel like asses right now. While all the stores are glad they got rid of their excess inventory of bread/milk that was close to expiring anyway.

Any business serious about making money isn't going to close today.

Seen vids of Washington state the other day, They cant handle driving in it [either].Actually, we so seldom get snow that we don't have fleets of plows and sanding trucks because they'd be a waste of money. Also, due to our climate we often thaw during the day and refreeze at night, creating a thick sheet of ice beneath all that nice snow.

Don't assume that just because snow in your area doesn't make driving impossible that it must be the same everywhere.

Snowed here last night, woke up to 2" with next to nothing on the road and every school in the area was closed. At least my 8am class got canceled

Not that its unusual to close to quick around here, my junior year in hs they were calling for an inch the next day and school got called that night. We woke up to 55 and sunny the next day, nicest weather we had that whole winter. Everybodys been quick to cancel school since 1993 when they were calling for maybe an inch and we got a foot and a half overnight.

We stayed up all night drinking and waiting on the snow. It ended up coming down at over an inch an hour. I had a lot of fun in the jeep and I really like the tires on it now. I didn't even need 4x4 at all

It's finally dropping down into the low 30's. It was around 25 degrees yesterday and i was washing the Infiniti. When i started rinsing the body, the water just froze and i had to start the Infiniti and blast the heat for 20 minutes so the ice could melt to the point where i can hose it off (then it would freeze again). I couldn't even scrub the wheels because every time i sprayed the wheels, it would ice up even more. Pretty fun though.

We have about 6 inches of snow on the ground but the streets are clear.

It's supposed to get cold this weekend, better gas up the car and dump in some Heet. Don't want nothin' to freeze up.

My battery probably won't last through the cold, it's like 3 cold crank amps, if it gets below 70 degrees, I need a jump.

That was to YZF, Lots of Yank's like to make fun of our driving skills, But we dont get snow, we get ice, and like your situation it freezes and thaws and freezes. It makes it real hard on the On/Off type of driving that people do.

anyway, Below us got some, above us got some we get got a sprinkle.

It keeps any water in your fuel lines from freezing up. It's an alcohol something or other.... If you live in a place that gets cold a lot, you know what it is. And it is a lifesaver.

They said here overnight it should be -20 to -25 with the windchill

Its fun to see all the people leave in the morning and the facilities trucking going around and jumping cars.

It was about 55 degrees today and all of our snow is gone. Many homes are stuck with at least 5 loaves of bread, 10 dozen eggs, and multiple jugs of water.

Meanwhile, I need bread, I have 2 eggs left, and I never buy water.

Hahaha. I only have to walk 500-800ft to stores (electronics, grocery, wine, etc) and restaurants (italian, japanese, chinese, etc). And i can drink water straight from the faucet.
