But im from the NE. oakback 04-13-2009, 08:14 AM You forgot "coke". There are many people who refer to all soda as "coke". I used to, but switched to "soda" at some point in time. I laugh when I hear someone say "pop". wotnartd 04-13-2009, 09:04 AM Well, only retards call something generic, something specific. There are a whole lot of people up here in Washington that call sugary carbonated beverages soda. I've always thought pop was a kiddie thing since it's easy to say. Also thought calling all soda "coke", then specifying what type of "coke" you want, was a southern thing. DeRFmAn 04-13-2009, 09:35 PM nah, this chick i'm talking to calls it "pop" as well. She is from Iowa originally though. But in TX we calls it soda. adamfriendofadam 04-14-2009, 06:34 AM When I was in Alabama and asked for a coke the waitress asked me what kind....it took me a second to figure out that she didn't get it have that in NC too... Or "sody pop"? Zero 04-14-2009, 10:20 AM My county has the large percentage of everyone calling it "other"... I swear that most people refer to it as "drink" or "drank" depending upon ethnicity... I call it by whatever its name is... "Give me a mountain dew", "I'm stopping to grab a mountain dew", "hand me that mountain dew"... only makes sense to me. DeRFmAn 04-14-2009, 12:33 PM My county has the large percentage of everyone calling it "other"... I swear that most people refer to it as "drink" or "drank" depending upon ethnicity... Why would calling something by its name make sense? that is all just a bunch of hoopla! |
