Quick sale, 200 bucks. Im looking to get a Taurus 24/7 9mm. A NEW one, the older models are shit but the newer ones are pretty great minus the 3 mile trigger pull. Im taking a Class G security class and the God awful state of FL only allows guards to carry .380ACP, .38SPL and 9mm or I wouldnt be worried about getting a new gun at all right now but I refuse to carry or have to qualify with my .38 snub - Not happening.

Anyone have any experience with Taurus weapons in REAL life? I dont need any Internet Eastwoods opinions, hands on is what Im looking for.

lol@ Internet Eastwoods.

Srsly thou, buy a .50cal Desert Eagle.

Edit: Seriously though, a friend of mine bought his girlfriend a small caliber Taurus(not sure of specifics) and during the first day at the range, that motherfucker broke. I think he sent it back for a replacement. Keeping in mind this was in 2005, I'm just questioning Taurus' reliably/quality.

Edit X2: I totally skipped the "older Taurus' are shit" part. Don't mind me...I have nothing important to add. :(

Yah Taurus reliability has always been an issue. I hear good things about the newer models and just from hands on feel of the weapon when I looked at it today I was impressed. Tight clearances, no rattle what so ever. The only thing I wasnt impressed with was the placement of the takedown lever, the slide release and the safety. They are so close that in a high stress situation you could miss the safety all together. You can see what I mean in this pic:
