BATMAN 08-20-2005, 10:02 AM I'm learning something new everyday. http://forums.roadbikereview.com/showthread.php?t=31799 Say No To Pistons 08-20-2005, 10:09 AM damn LOL. Tom 08-20-2005, 10:39 AM I always pack a heater when I go hiking. Never had to draw it, but you never know.. I've ran across a few looney-tunes on the trails, and I always felt 'comforted' by the fact I had 8 little .45 cal friends waiting to assist if need be.. You would be considered a looney-tune to most. Cosby 08-20-2005, 05:13 PM Anytime you're vulnerable like that it probably isn't a bad idea to have a sidearm as long as you're not an idiot. rx-7_Z06 08-20-2005, 11:19 PM Knowing where Tom lives, I would be packin' heat too. Tom is not looney. He seems pretty average to me, but maybe I'm crazy too? King 08-20-2005, 11:48 PM Well.... I have been diagnosed with the prognosis of being a paranoid-schiznophrenic, bi-polar sociopath. Maybe it's me. Tom 08-21-2005, 08:09 AM You would be considered a looney-tune to most. Maybe so. But there are far worse whack-jobs out there than me. My wife and I took a small group of Scouts hiking on the Appalachian trail the same weekend two ladies were butchered on it. It was about 20 miles from where we were. I've also ran across a few 'militia' types in the back country hills in WV. They were definitely scary.. Mainly I carry it for vermin (4 legged or slithering variety). My first round in the mag is snake shot, then ball ammo, then snake shot, then ball, ball, ball, ball and ball.... My first round in the mag is snake shot, then ball ammo, then snake shot, then ball, ball, ball, ball and ball.... Yeah... I have met a lot of people from WV.... Most are some real backwoods wackjobs... I live in one of the most popular towns on the appalachian trail. There's picnic areas, a lake, hiking trails, etc... Of course ive been to all of these things, and for some reason the nuts are always the ones that just randomly start talking to strangers. They'll approach, give their life story, and it always ends in "yeah, im walking the entire mountain range." There's been some weird shit that has happened. I remember a couple of years back, these people were sitting at one of the look-offs (a place to pull over on the side of the mountain road to look off...) and a naked woman came running out of the woods yelling "nooooo dont let him get me" and then ran back into the woods. Of course, if someone did kill you there and your body was dropped off the side....no one would find you. BATMAN 08-21-2005, 11:10 AM some of u folks talk funny. |
