just seeing if anyone felt the same way i do..

not being a prick..just curious..

for anyone to drag race in a manual car...they always have an excuse for their times...

look what i said in this thread talking to chris:

http://htm.zadams.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2917

i can never talk to a person and ask their times at the drag strip without some kind of excuse on why they ran that time..

thats why i said i wished i had a manual in my car so i could say my car runs 9.5s with perfect launch and no missed gears, seeing as how it runs 10s now...

ppl always seem to take-away half a sec. from their times trying to convince me that they could run it...

all you are convincing me of, is that you are a bad driver and that i could prolly hop in ur car and match your time or even beat your time...

it just annoys me...if i ran a 10.6 in my car with a 5spd, i would say i run 10.6s...anybody else would say "i ran a 10.6 spinning, or "i ran a 10.6 and missed 3rd gear" or "i ran a 10.6 with my clutch slipping"..

it never fu*ckin fails....i swear, it never does..they always add that in...

always ceases to amaze me..

every ones always gonna have an excuse no matter how fast their car is.

Every one wants every one else to think their car to be faster then it is.

everyone has done it...and everyone will try and deny it..

i know it may be true for some people, but not everyone..

Maybe those are reasons instead of excuses :)
Maybe people with automatics are the ones that make excuses...because really, Speedy was super duper fast! Uh huh...

I think that unless you drive a manual you won't fully understand... When you get your conversion, you might be feeling or saying the same things. It's a b*tch...

exactly, your car is slow and automatic... that means you dont have HALF the variables a car like mine has. I bet you run the same time within .1 when its 90 degrees and 70 degrees. That alone makes my car feel like a different car. Of course there are REASONS people dont run their best time....dur

So, ppl make excuses for what they think is a slower time when they think they should've have been faster, why u making such a big deal out of it. Next time someone makes an excuse to u, ask them how long they've been running the car. If it's there first few times, just say, "well, maybe u just don't what the hell ur doing."

I let my supervisor from work drive my LX because Ive drove his turbo cruiser a few times. He had two comments: "I have to put the full weight of my body on your damn clutch pedal to push it in", and "Ive got to get one of these."
