czarofzar 06-23-2008, 10:05 PM What guns you dont own but would love to try. Id shoot this sun of a bitch. http://hqinet001.hqmc.usmc.mil/p&r/concepts/2006/Pics%20for%20web/C&P%202006%20High%20Res%20Images/C&P%202006%20Chap%203%20images%20HiRes/C&P2006%20CH%203%20Pg158%20Sniper.jpg BackyardSog 06-23-2008, 10:38 PM http://bp0.blogger.com/_kIWY2DV0KnE/SBlFWNdVNnI/AAAAAAAAAZI/_5wgnnusmlA/s400/Disintegrator.jpg 1revnrex 06-23-2008, 10:45 PM Either The Dora Railway Gun or the Schwerer Gustav. Everything else is pale in comparison. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDEj0-5Jbws&feature=related holly fucking shit, yes. I want one. Supper 07-05-2008, 07:07 PM Having my first 308 built. I've shot em before, but never owned one. I prefer the 284 over 30 bore. Having a 330 Dakota built, figure might as well try something most people haven't heard of. Friend of mine has a .338 Chey-Tac, can't wait to try it out. Wouldn't mind giving a .338 Lapua a test drive, even though ballistically it isn't any more powerful then the 330 Dak. 7STW is on the list to try eventually, .22-243 would be a wicked varmint gun, 6-284 or 25-285 would be a fun goat gun. I prefer to keep my musings to a more realistic realm :) edit: Czar, looks like either a Barrett or Armalite 50cal. I've finger fucked the AR-50 before and its saaaaweet, hell of a fun time yanking triggers on it until you realize each time you pull the trigger there went $8. $100T2 07-06-2008, 10:40 PM Either The Dora Railway Gun or the Schwerer Gustav. I want one....been a long time since I've fired those and back then I didnt need to spend several thousand dollars to get my hands on it. The M82A-1/M107 has a recoil spring system as well as that muzzle brake, and between the two of them it kills off the recoil enough that this is basically like shooting a 12 gage shotgun, maybe a little more kick than that but not much. Ten rounds, semi-auto, and you actually CAN fire those quickly while still keeping the accuracy. Last time I checked you can buy a new one from Barrett for something like $8000.... Tofuball 08-23-2008, 07:43 AM There's a store not too far from here that has one used. 1revnrex 08-23-2008, 09:00 PM Little over 5 bucks everytime you pull the trigger. czarofzar 01-10-2009, 10:47 PM thats the barrett....its 100% badass. If youre in the market for one of these, the M82A1 is the best one to get--they make a few different models, and most are single-shot. Those also dont have the same recoil-spring system like the 82 has. Its even more fun to shoot this when youre not the one paying for .50 ammo.... I don't think my local range would let me fire it there though . . . . :p dg123 01-13-2009, 11:03 AM I saw one of these at the local shop last week: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/8/8a/Rifle_Springfield_M1903.jpg/300px-Rifle_Springfield_M1903.jpg Having some experience with a 1903 from high school, I have always wanted to get a full working model. Their simplicity is astounding, and they (the ones I have handled at least) have a good balance to them with just the right amount of weight. I will probably still get a semi-auto rifle just cause, but to me, you're not a true rifle enthusiast without some sort of bolt-action. Plus I like *klack-klack-klack-klack* of a bolt-action more than the single *tink* from a semi-auto when a round gets cycled. :bigthumb: |
