In Europe, "Caucasian" currently refers almost exclusively to people who are from the Caucasus. In the US, Caucasian is used almost exclusively to mean 'white'. But at one time it it was considered a useful taxonomical categorization of human racial groups based on a presumed common geographic, linguistic, or genetic origin.

Eye color is determined by the amount of melanin pigment in the iris. Brown eyes have lots of pigment, blue eyes very little.

Three gene pairs control human eye color; 2 of the gene pairs occur on chromosome pair 15 and one occurs on chromosome pair 19. The bey 2 gene (on chromosome 15) has a brown and a blue allele (alleles are different forms of genes). A second gene on chromosome 19 has a blue and a green allele. A third gene, bey 1, located on chromosome 15, is a central brown eye color gene.

Brown is generally dominant, which is why most humans have brown eyes. Blue or green is a result of lower melanin, common in a lot of northern Europeans. So you can have blue or green eyed Irish, Nordic, Dutch, etc.

That said, as humans migrated it got a bit jumbled. The moores occupied Sicily and southern Spain and Portugal, and the people from there now generally have olive skin and brown eyes while most Italians and other Spaniards and Portuguese are lighter. Afghans, Turks, etc. who are on that line of caucasian/arab/aryan intermixing often have lighter eyes, be they blue, green, or in some cases even light brown or yellow.

Mine are brown. My dad and two of my three sisters have blue.

I got my mom's boring eyes, two collicks (sp?), and nearsightedness. I got my dad's crooked fingers (I can't cup water in my hands). I got all the crap....

My girlfriends eyes are mood indicators. They're normally brown, nearly black when she's pissed, green when she's feeling romantic, and yellow when I don't get to leave the bedroom all day.

Mine are blue, everyone in my family have blue eyes, all of my friends have blue eyes too...

Bwahaha, my 100% German father has blue eyes, my Irish mother has hazel and I ended up somewhere inbetween, almost green.

I'd say my eye color is blue-grey, and I'm blonde to boot. I guess my Germanic roots are dominant over my British ones.
