91lx 09-07-2003, 02:27 PM They supposedly "rebuilt" the 91 lx transmission for $7-800 but it broke shortly later (luckily the car wasnt mine then). They supposedly "rebuilt" my 96 GT transmission for less but it broke very shortly later and never did go into 5th gear correctly. These guys are retards seriously I think they screw everyone they do work for. They should have just said "We are f-ing idiots we are just going to waste your time and money." They are on my list :) . That place is less than 2 miles from my house 91lx 09-07-2003, 06:50 PM yeah that guy rips everyone off. i found a guy who knows what hes doing and works on cars for a great price. hes rebuilding a few T5s for my stangs. my daily driver grinds in 4th and leaks and my 91 lx tranny only has 4th gear, 5th and reverse. i also picked up 2 spares just incase. rxtasy 09-07-2003, 08:04 PM It's problems like these is why I do my own. His dad works in a machine shop hes the one I was saying could fab the MX7 intake for you. They were working on a few Civics when I stopped by but he had to leave to go weld floorpans in a bug. Katana200sx 09-09-2003, 09:50 AM if they fucked up the trans. in your 96....why did you do business w/them again? i wish i woulda tore apart that spare trans before i sold it...just to see if rebuilding them is as hard as it seems. 91lx 09-09-2003, 11:05 AM nah they also attempted to rebuild the tranny in the car i bought. i didnt do businesses with them again the guy i bought my car from did and now im stuck with it. he didnt properly shim the input shaft and it destroyed it. DeadZen 09-09-2003, 07:11 PM mr transmission in front of greenville tech is real shady too, they put on my transmission bolt all loose and it fell out drained all my fluid on the highway.. not fun |
