Used car dealership (with their ads and contact info proudly displayed) lists a riced out 97 ford probe on craigslist as "Street Racing Ready"

I'm doubting the owner of this place has ever had a liability lawsuit thrown against them.

Def not a good idea to advertise the car like that.

Nothing more really needs to be said. There are a million and a half of these type places in the Norfolk/VB area. They all prey on young military members, offering in house credit, military discounts, no payments for 6 months, etc., etc., etc., then they slam the newb with %200 interest and just rape the poor kids.

Places like that are the reason many military commands REQUIRE non-NCOs to bring in their contracts before purchase.


The sad thing is, that car will probably be sold within a week. And within 2-3 years the place will have over $10k from the buyer.

-Person gets injured street racing.
-Person sues car dealership.

That is how it might work out in the real world. But these types of people cater to young, dumb, enlisted types. If the kid who buys the car is involved in an accident while street racing then he will get raped by the military system so fast it will make his head spin, and the LAST thing he will be trying to do with any legal advice is sue the dealership.

Hate to say it, but those kinds of people target the bottom %10 of the national average when it comes to intelligence. They actually catch the bottom %10, of the initial %10. So yeah... I'd say their risk is kinda low.

Still the scum of the earth, but they pretty much have their bases covered (probably have written down a direct order NOT to participate in any illegal street racing using the vehicle provided, right next to where they have the outrageous % of interest in the small text, which isn't read by their prey anyway).

It's not even race ready. No boost. Only a header and guages.

You know... I've been *strongly* contemplating getting a steering wheel like that, except I'd want to wire the buttons to run my cruise control. Left to engage cruise/lower speed, right to resume/raise speed.

I just gotta figure out if it's doable, lol. I'd like a smaller steering wheel, but I will NOT give up my cruise control (else I end up "cruising" at about 100mph on the highway!)
