anyone happen to see this in Sundays paper? i'm sure all r aware of the "prayer in school" situation:

NOT ALONE: A dog followed his best friend, a fourth grader, to school, making it all the way to the kid's classroom before a teacher noticed and shooed him outside, closing the door behind him. The dog whimpered and stared at the closed door. Just then, God appeared beside the dog, patted his head and said, "Don't be sad, fella. They wont let me in either."

seperation of church and state means the state (a school) doesnt enforce one religion over another, period. if a teacher wants to pray thats cool, as long as no one else has a problem with it in the class there's no problem with seperation of church and state... and if students pray, even outloud, nothin can be said

Actually if i'm not mistaken in NC, a teacher cannot lead a prayer, or bring up religion, a student has to bring it up, because the teacher could be accused of influencing their religion on the class, i know that my english teacher got in deep trouble because she started asking the class about different biblical events and would get upset when someone didn't know, and it didn't relate to any of the books/stories we were reading at that time.

seperation of church and state is one thing.

Being able to pratice one owns faiths when ever and where ever is totatly diffrent.

Teachers may not be able to pray in school any more, but it dosn't give liberal law makes the right to tell achristian they cant pray in a class room.

Why is one person saying a prayer so offence to every one else.... Just because I say a prayer doesnt mean you have to... Im not forceing you to pray, but your forceing me to stop praying ? doesnt seen quite fair....
