czarofzar 02-05-2008, 10:38 PM The Miami Heat's season has come to this: Shaquille O'Neal could be traded.
The Phoenix Suns are weighing whether to complete one of the most unexpected deals in NBA history by acquiring O'Neal from the Heat, NBA front-office sources told ESPN.com's Marc Stein on Tuesday night.
Sources said that the Suns are deciding whether to go through with a deal that would send Shawn Marion and Marcus Banks to the Heat for O'Neal, who, at 35, is in the midst of his least productive season for a Heat team that has cratered from a championship in 2006 to a 9-37 record this season.
"It's possible," said one source close to the situation, speaking about the potential trade.
The Miami Herald first reported on its Web site Tuesday night that the Heat have informed O'Neal that they are shopping him, and that talks with the Suns were serious.
SpartanTS 02-06-2008, 03:50 PM Why would anyone want a beat up, old, broken down Shaq that isn't in his prime anymore?
czarofzar 02-06-2008, 07:10 PM To counter Duncan
DeRFmAn 02-06-2008, 09:24 PM yeah but one man does not a defense make
czarofzar 02-06-2008, 09:37 PM true. and they gave up their top defender in Marion. Welp, interesting to see how it all turns out.
$100T2 02-08-2008, 10:53 PM Supposedly Shaq is at 325 pounds, 12% body fat. And the Suns medical staff has worked miracles with Grant Hill and Steve Nash, both of whom have an insane history of being injury prone.
I wouldn't be surprised if this works out great for the Suns and for Shaq.
jshiz 02-09-2008, 12:55 PM Do you think that the suns are the west favorites since they made this trade?
$100T2 02-09-2008, 04:53 PM Well, when you look at their starting 5 and compare it to everyone else, they are the favorites on paper. We'll have to see how they play together, but since Shaq has turned into one of the best low post passers in the game, I think they'll be just fine.
czarofzar 02-09-2008, 07:27 PM I want to watch teh next 'shaq is availible' game so freaking bad
jshiz 02-09-2008, 11:49 PM Well, when you look at their starting 5 and compare it to everyone else, they are the favorites on paper. We'll have to see how they play together, but since Shaq has turned into one of the best low post passers in the game, I think they'll be just fine.
Yeah, i'm curious to see if shaq is really going to make a difference on defence. if he doesn't live up to the hype, the suns are fucked. especially since marion was their best defensive player.
illegalfugitive 02-10-2008, 12:59 AM i think this trade is gonna work well for the suns
this should motivate shaq to get fit and get another championship
czarofzar 02-10-2008, 01:04 AM win
frydryce 02-20-2008, 03:31 AM suns will be a better team with shaq than the heat. they have more depth. the heat depended on shaq too much and built the team around him.
czarofzar 03-10-2008, 11:14 PM did anyone of you guys see the spurs/suns game last night? Wow it was great. Shaq got out of control and also refused to take tim duncans hand for help.
Eatmyclutch 03-17-2008, 12:19 AM Fuck this, I want to see the Suns go all the way now. Shaq is the most dominant man to ever grace the hardwood. About his big toe...
czarofzar 04-25-2008, 09:26 PM Suns down 2 zip[ in the play offs facing spurs. Anyone here think the Suns wilkl win the series or is the suns coach the dumbest man in the world?
$100T2 04-26-2008, 07:42 AM Well, there went that. Down 3-0, I'd say it's over.
