95whitepep 07-13-2007, 05:27 PM Numbers 22 (NIV)
" 26 Then the angel of the LORD moved on ahead and stood in a narrow place where there was no room to turn, either to the right or to the left. 27 When the donkey saw the angel of the LORD, she lay down under Balaam, and he was angry and beat her with his staff. 28 Then the LORD opened the donkey's mouth, and she said to Balaam, "What have I done to you to make you beat me these three times?"
29 Balaam answered the donkey, "You have made a fool of me! If I had a sword in my hand, I would kill you right now."
30 The donkey said to Balaam, "Am I not your own donkey, which you have always ridden, to this day? Have I been in the habit of doing this to you?"
"No," he said. "

cool_as_crap 07-13-2007, 05:42 PM If my donkey started talking to me after I beat on it, you better your ass I'd beat harder!
czarofzar 07-13-2007, 06:38 PM A! AHA! AhahahahahahahahahahahaROFLCOPTER!!!!Qq!!!!1111!!! !
I APPROVE OF THIS THREAD!
95whitepep 07-13-2007, 07:02 PM is this yet another episode of superhack pointing at a passage of scripture and saying "that can't be true!"?
you're outside...
I've made no judgment here...I just put it up for discussion....
Where in my post id I say, "this can't be true'
Again I point out how everything you read, you add to it.
Who's the fool now?
:owned:
95whitepep 07-13-2007, 07:12 PM the entire post reads like a mockery to me, especially the picture
you're outside
Its the only picture of a 'talking' ass I could come up with. Unless I re-posted a picture of you.
And of course you would read it that way...how else would you take the Lords word? What part of the 'mocking' picture of a puppet was so threatening to your faith? I know it was a big bad scary picture of a puppet horse, did it really rattle your cage?
95whitepep 07-13-2007, 07:18 PM your life is a mockery...everything you say is a mockery
you're an incredibly self deceived person
Can you save 'mockery' again??? How about I just make a 'mockery' out of you skidMarked?
Self-Deceived, that takes the cake. Go read some more YEC fairy tales of a global flood and how the Grand Canyon was made. Or how Adam lived with dinosaurs.....then figure out who is truly 'self-deceived'... :blah:
czarofzar 07-13-2007, 07:31 PM I haven't seen YZF being so flustered as he is with this topic. And it came from the Bible. So can't we say we should take out some things out of the Bible? I guess what i am saying, isn't time to remove stupid books that obviously shouldn't be in the bible? I'll start with genesis.
czarofzar 07-13-2007, 07:52 PM he also created talking donkeys
cool_as_crap 07-13-2007, 07:55 PM And hair loss.
czarofzar 07-13-2007, 08:21 PM Yup, sounds like a talking donkey. Thanks for the confirmation
95whitepep 07-14-2007, 12:09 AM superhack didn't even bother to post the entire context
What? All I was posting about was the story about the talking donkey in the OT, not the NT discussion.
Face-it all you are trying to do now is a smear campaign on me....again, what is this fixation that you have with everything I post? It isn't a donkey telling you what to type is it...? Or maybe a parrot? http://talesofthesevenseas.com/phpbb/images/smiles/forum%20smiley%20parrot.gif
95whitepep 07-14-2007, 12:14 AM disgusted is the right term....superhack never fails in that category
Now you are disgusted with the bible??? All I did was quote the bible, this disgusted you? :eyecrazy:
95whitepep 07-14-2007, 12:35 AM or perhaps we'll start by removing you from the Kingdom, because I think God hates you
There you go, the inferiority complex. Whats this 'we'll' stuff? Are you God there skidMarked? Are you in charge of who gets into heaven or not?
Please tell me where you get the authority who gets to go to heaven or not? Where does it say in the bible that you, Mark Strong, is the one of the persons responsible of making that decision?
95whitepep 07-14-2007, 11:13 AM yes
have been from day 1...it's pretty clear what your intention was with this thread: to laugh it up with your atheist/agnostic buddies
Well, ok what ever you believe.....
Answer the question... Again I ask
"Tell me where you get the authority who gets to go to heaven or not? Where does it say in the bible that you, Mark Strong, is the one of the persons responsible of making that decision?"
honegod 07-14-2007, 11:39 AM the caveman jews had no idea about brain structure or of the structure of the human throat and larynx.
so god must have modified the brain of the donky to include a speech center, filled that newly formed speech center with the language, added the understanding of that language so the donky could formulate coherent concepts, given the donky a SOUL so the donky could understand justice and REBELL against the authority of the higher being with a stick that god already had given dominion over the donky, modified the throat of the donky to include vocal cords capable of human speech sounds, taught the donky HOW to make human speech sounds with his new larynx.
all in a matter of seconds with no noticable waste heat.
wow, impressive .
too bad god can't put out that sort of effort to regrow lost arms and legs on religious war mutilated children, but then, how would that add to his glory ?
95whitepep 07-14-2007, 12:37 PM anything is possible with God
Hmmmm...nice thought.
But quit dodging the question skidMark:
Again I quote:
or perhaps we'll start by removing you from the Kingdom, because I think God hates you
"Tell me where you get the authority who gets to go to heaven or not? Where does it say in the bible that you, Mark Strong, is the one of the persons responsible of making that decision?"
honegod 07-14-2007, 12:56 PM anything is possible with God
magic.
95whitepep 07-14-2007, 02:06 PM it's word play, little superhack boy...you're an idiot anyway, always at my feet looking for scraps you can pounce on
cz claimed he has the authority to remove portions of scripture, but he has NO authority
I have the authority to judge his comment as worthless, and he's outside
2 Corinthians 2
The man without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. The spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any man's judgment
No you stated that you have the authority to allow or disallow people into heaven. And I keep on repeating it because you are to dull to comprehend it.
or perhaps we'll start by removing you from the Kingdom
So why do you think that you have the authority to allow/disallow persons into heaven?
If you say that you have 'authority' as a spiritual man, that is not enough, because all that you have been enabled with is the ability to make judgments, which is a formal decision. That is, you make make up in your mind a decision, but you cannot act on it.
So where do you get the idea that you can act upon this judgment and not allow the people you don't agree with into heaven?
honegod 07-14-2007, 03:19 PM the topic is about a donkey, not an ass, so leave yzf alone.
{ not really, I just sorta' liked the shape and needed to share :D}
honegod 07-14-2007, 03:35 PM so back to the donkey.
for it to talk like a man it would have to have a soul like a man, otherwise its words would be mere parroting and have no real meaning.
so does the donkey share adams curse ?
is the donkey in heaven ?
or hell ?
was the sinless donkey soul cursed by its rebellion against the beating, or was its sinless nature preserved through its rebellion being useful to god ?
honegod 07-14-2007, 03:42 PM I am assuming the donkey was sinless to start with since it had no soul.
so which came first the soul or the rebellion ?
as in was it the rebellion that gave the soul a place to go ?
regular soulless donkeys rebell against the authority of their humans all the time but none get given souls so the rebellion cannot have CAUSED the soul, the rebellion of a soulless donkey cannot be a sin.
honegod 07-15-2007, 04:24 AM God spoke through the animal,
They have left the straight way and wandered off to follow the way of Balaam son of Beor, who loved the wages of wickedness. But he was rebuked for his wrongdoing by a donkey—a beast without speech—who spoke with a man's voice and restrained the prophet's madness.
how do you get "God spoke through the animal" from any of that ?
does "Am I not your own donkey, which you have always ridden, to this day?" in any way sound like the Lord god ?
do TRY to pay attention to what you say, even if not to what the bible or I say.
stop over-analyzing it
looking too closely at what the bible says is a sin ?
honegod 07-15-2007, 04:40 AM spiritual truth is meant to be rationally contemplated, examined logically, studied, analyzed,
is false ?
honegod 07-15-2007, 04:51 AM All Scripture testifies to the fact that God wants us to know and understand the truth. He wants us to be wise. His will is that we use our minds. We are supposed to think, meditate, and above all, to be discerning.
untrue ?
95whitepep 07-21-2007, 05:38 PM God spoke through the animal
Thats not what the Bible says, it says that God open up the animals mouth, which to anyone who can read and comprehend, means that he gave the ass the ability to speak. Same as you skidMarked.
The bible does not say, "God told the donkey to say this", anywhere....
Hmm, you better read on this passage and comeback to something more plausible there skidMarked.
95whitepep 07-21-2007, 06:06 PM whatever, who cares?
What are you trying to tell me the bible doesn't matter and that you don't care about the talking donkey?
God supernaturally caused the animal to speak
Oh so now its the donkey that spoke his mind, and not "God spoke through the animal"
God spoke through the animal
Come one skidMArked, you're flopping like a fish on this whole issue.
Who spoke? God or the donkey?
Who's words were it? You are continually contradicting yourself here...
:blah:
czarofzar 07-21-2007, 09:31 PM Maybe it's voice was Eddy Murphy. HA! You liked that one Mark?
honegod 07-21-2007, 11:21 PM whatever, who cares?
His will is that we use our minds. We are supposed to think, meditate, and above all, to be discerning.
spiritual truth is meant to be rationally contemplated, examined logically, studied, analyzed,
God supernaturally caused the animal to speak
yes, we gathered that from the story, what I was looking at were the IMPLICATIONS of god using magic to communicate with one of his prophets through a dumb beast.
you loons are grasping for anything...anything to support your unbelief
not exactly, more like trying to explain why belief in the literal truth of that fairytale is silly for anyone who actually THINKS about it. :bigthumb:
I am assuming the donkey was sinless to start with since it had no soul.
so which came first the soul or the rebellion ?
as in was it the rebellion that gave the soul a place to go ?
regular soulless donkeys rebell against the authority of their humans all the time but none get given souls so the rebellion cannot have CAUSED the soul, the rebellion of a soulless donkey cannot be a sin.
yes, we gathered that from the story, what I was looking at were the IMPLICATIONS of god using magic to communicate with one of his prophets through a dumb beast.
This is merely word play, you aren't considering any implications because your mind is already made up. Even if the donkey had a soul, what relevance does it have on the story? Regular donkeys rebel yet aren't given souls so this is definative proof that this donkey's rebellion couldn't be the origin that it allegedly had? Even if this were true, so what?
Instead of moving from A to B, you end up at a pound sign.
Agreed, except for my cat, right? I mean, he's got to be going to heaven!
czarofzar 07-22-2007, 02:14 PM phhhhhhraid not
95whitepep 07-22-2007, 08:58 PM Cinnamon!!!
Maybe this will help you out....

From the link posted above.
Do Pets Go to Heaven?
Dear Pastor,
I am 8-years old and I am so sad now cause my dog, Scruffy is awfully sick. The pet doctor told my mom that Scruffy has only a few weeks to live because he has a bunch of cancers everwhere. The doctor told my mom that I am gonna see Scruffy when I get to heaven, but she told me that my doctor is not saved, so that I will write to you and ask you the real answer about Scruffy because you know.
Pastor, I love Scruffy so much! I have been trying so much every day not to cry, but when I look at his eyes, he is so sad! My poor dog is in so much pain with his cancers. Is Scruffy going to go to Heaven, Pastor? Will I get to see him again?
Timothy Galvin - Age 8

Dear Timmy,
It always breaks my heart when I have to answer a question like this. I understand your concern, but I won't lie to you. According to the Bible, there will be no animals in heaven except for horses. And those horses, the book of Revelation tells us, will be used solely as a means of transportation. Scripture tells us that horses will sprout wings and be able to fly at high speeds. We'll fly too, Timmy, but the horses will probably fly faster, which is why Jesus is going to keep them around.
As True Christiansâ„¢, we can only speculate why God doesn't find it necessary to populate heaven with dogs, cats, cows, chickens and other creatures. Most likely it is because we won't need food when we get to Heaven. Using Bible logic, we have to assume that there are going to be a whole mess of folks in Hell and most of them will be Chinese, since they never had the luxury of hearing about Jesus. People in hell will need food to sustain them through an eternity of torture at the hands of the loving God they rejected. As we understand it, Chinese folks love to eat dogs. I'm sorry, Timmy - it is a hard sight to take in, but in a few weeks little Scruffy will be savagely ripped to shreds, as will countless other pooches, at the blood-stained hands of starving, godless Chinamen as they are beaten and sodomized by demons on the desolate shores of the Lake of Fire. My guess is that those shores will be piled high with the rotting, bone-picked carcasses of every household pet there ever was.
I hope this helps.
Your friend and Pastor,
Deacon Fred
That's a relief, I hate dogs.
95whitepep 07-22-2007, 09:10 PM That's a relief, I hate dogs.
Um, hate to break it to you,
According to the Bible, there will be no animals in heaven except for horses.
Cinnamon well, is going to taste like Cinnamon.
:crying:

95whitepep 07-23-2007, 09:58 AM liberals love the "Landover Baptist" card...what a collection of freaks
"Landover Baptist card" No such thing. Can you not see the satire of the whole website? Are you truly that blind or immature?
95whitepep 07-23-2007, 10:52 AM there is a "baptist" group the media is always having fun with, I didn't bother clicking the link
:lmfao: :lmfao: :lmfao:
You just :owned: yourself....classic!
95whitepep 07-23-2007, 11:22 AM if I was "owned" by not clicking a satirical link, so be it...most of the links you post here are complete trash
Nice! keep digging that hole there skidMark...you just admitted that you were owned by yourself, and by a complete satire website of all things..
LOL this day just keeps on getting better!

honegod 07-25-2007, 09:15 AM This is merely word play, you aren't considering any implications because your mind is already made up.
not really, part of the fun is accepting the words as saying exactly what they say, so "who spoke with a man's voice" even though she was a female means that god wanted the donkey to speak like a man and not just a talking female donkey, the difference would be a man has a soul and CAN recognise the authority of his master to beat on him, and rebel against that authority, questioning the JUSTICE of the rightious punishment the master decides to inflict.
which is exactly what the donkey does.
Even if the donkey had a soul, what relevance does it have on the story? Regular donkeys rebel yet aren't given souls so this is definative proof that this donkey's rebellion couldn't be the origin that it allegedly had? Even if this were true, so what?
I am struck by the parallel, the donkey objects to her masters rightious punishment just like moses objected to god killing all the jews, and in both cases the master backed down from the proposed slaughter and was satisfied with a less than total deadly punishment.
the donkey just gets a beating, not the sword, and god only kills a FEW of his jews instead of all of them and starting over again.
without a soul the donkey was just an animal with no way to argue justice.
WITH a soul the donkey becomes a special creation that joins man, and possibly the angels in spirituality, at which point how god treats this creature is of interest, did he create it as just another weed for the fire of his glory ?
or did her long suffering of her rider qualify her for heaven ?
honegod 07-25-2007, 09:25 AM animals do not have souls, that is clear from the scripture
