Well I've been thinking about getting a tattoo. Who else has one? What is it?

When you're like 55 and you have this lame ass tatoo that you got when you were in your 20's, how are you going to feel about it?

I have a water tribal on my right bicep (yes, in the place where dipshits get the barbed wire), a sunburst on my left shoulder, and some assorted chinese characters that I'm getting covered.

Never felt the need to have one, even when I was in service and all bulky and what not.

Don't wear jewelry either (other than a wedding band and a watch).

I got my tattoos in the Marines. I like all of them except the ones on my forearms. I hate them and want them removed.

I'd like to get a few tattoo's sometime in the future. Nothing crazy and nothing that would affect future employment(like sleeves or something on your face/neck) or anything, probably a few things on my arms, maybe 1 on leg or back.

I drew a dragon with an asian-style dragon head and european body. Gave it 4 claws per foot (since only royalty can display a 5 clawed dragon) and made the tail flare in the shape of a maple leaf. Had it tattooed on my arm. So now I have body art that reflects my mixed ethnicity and Canadian heritage.

I have been wanting to get a tattoo like this on my shoulder blade for a long ass time. I even posted up a couple of pictures that I drew of it on the RX-7Club, but they didn't look as good as this one.

I want one on the underside of my forearm. I really wanted a nautical star, but then these "punk" kids started getting them making them trendy. I really love the ocean alot so it was somthing i was really considering putting on me to always remind me of the good times i have when im out on the water.

The way I see it, carry enough to handle any and all threats that might come your way. Even if it is the most rediculous thing ever (such as a massive shootout with you hiding behind a water fountain burning through 4 mags of ammo)

as for the tattoo:

I have thought hard on one for close to 5 years now. Everytime I get close to going and getting it done, I think to myself "Will I really still want this thing on my arm 5 years from now?" and don't have it done.

i have 3 of em... i love them all! i have two on my back and i cant really see them so i forget that they are there, so i dont see my self getting tired of them. the only thing im worried about is the one on my hip getting all streched out if i ever have a baby. that wouldnt be very attractive...

When I was a kid I used to hang out with a bunch of hells angels. The really old guys always told me never to get a tattoo unless I really meant it.

Thats what I always tell people: don't get a tattoo because its cool, or just for the hell of it, only get one if you want to send a message.

Right upper arm, tribal band designed by a friend, right mid arm 1" below elbow is a 1" thick solid band, left upper arm is my nickname in a gothic/caligraphy text and the kanji for strength/power under it, left lower arm ~2" before the wrist is a thick/large tribal design. All of it is black work, I'm not a fan of color.
