I walked in and my jaw hit the floor... there's a pic on the internet of a clusterfuck of wires with a sign taped to 'em that says "Do not touch these wires" or something to that effect, that's exactly what the closet looked like. At the new place, however, they invested in a good rack and cable management system, triple-redundant internets (Fibre, cable, and wireless), and a goddamn huge HVAC unit to keep the whole mofo comfortable. I'd be a sysadmin right now somewhere if I could stand the constant jet sound that all server rooms seem to have, but I just can't. There was a couch in the closet in the math hall, I spent a lot of time in there. Nice and warm, lots of blinky lights, and nobody bothered you.
