Wile I was removing my engine to replace my transmission I managed to break the temp sensor that runs the gauge. So my line of questioning is this:

Is there a difference between sensors though out the years? Example, I have an 85 Civic will one form a crx of a different year work?

Does any one know what the resistance is on that sensor?

And finally, does anyone have one they want to part with?

Bust out the multimeter and test resistance. surely you didn't break it that badly to where you can't still get a reading.

I would if the guts where still in the remains of the sensor. All that is left is the hollow shell sticking out the side of the block.

I broke mine while swapping the transmission, the coolant temp sensor, and the car didnt want to start for shit when it had sat for long period of time, more than 5-6 hours...

had to pay $45 for a new one at autozone and its fine now..

As for your original ?, I dont know if they are interchangable..:dunno: sorry :)
