there are IP bans, and there are Range bans.

Range bans ban an IP range, IP bans are just specific IP's. The easy way around an IP ban is to reset your modem and recieve a new IP. The only way I know of around a range ban is to use a proxy.

I know how IP adressing works, but I don't know what the mods are capable of doing. If a moderator blocks my ISPs entire local address pool (I live in a small town) I doubt I'd get around that very easily. At work (small outpost of a big company) its only a /30 so just blocking that little range of addresses and shut me out.
