Stegall 03-09-2004, 10:47 PM http://www.starquestclub.com/index.pl?board=advancetech;action=display;num=1078 893940;start=0 didint feel like typing it twice. HTM Impreza WRX 03-09-2004, 11:09 PM that link didn't work Cosby 03-10-2004, 12:53 AM Bring it over and I'll rewire it for you. Thats a 5 pin relay which means you have 2 coil pins 1 pin that has constant voltage (an in pin) and then you have 2 out pins one pin has power when the coil isnt charged and the other has power whent he coil is charged (like a light switch). If you look closely, theyre labeled POLE, NC, NO, COIL1, COIL2 or something along those lines. POLE is the input for the constant NC is the out that works when the coil isnt energized NO is the out when the coils are energized so in your application, the black loose wire is one of 2 things; it is either the wire to one of the coil inputs or its the wire to the pole. Figure out which wires are your coil inputs and then make sure one is ground and the other is pos. (when the light switch is on). If that works, check to be sure you have a good pole input (12V Constant (prob. not ign. sw.) if that works be sure your NO pin is connected to the 12v input for your light and that its receiving power. if its not receiving power, the relay is bad. Its unlikely I'll ever take the time to write out technical information ever again ;) Stegall 03-10-2004, 08:50 AM the reley isnt labled. you must not have read that post closely. there is nothing wrong with the wireing. Both the left, and right side relay plugs are getting the same voltage at the same times. the black loose wire I was referring to, was simple cramed into the the relay plug, and thent he relay pulgs in over top of it. the head light would only more when 12v was applied to that partictular plug....i know the relay isnt bad, becaseu it works on the other side. kinda confuseing rxtasy 03-10-2004, 11:17 AM why don't u just go and get a repair manual? don't they have wiring diagrams in them? Stegall 03-10-2004, 02:06 PM ive got one, but what it shows as schmatics for this relay, dosnt match what im seeing with my eyes... kinda odd. Cosby 03-10-2004, 03:24 PM I gave you all the info you need to fix it... if its not labeled you can always check by trial and error to figure out which one is coil1/coil2, NO, NC, POLE Just requires a little thought. Stegall 03-10-2004, 05:27 PM coem fix it of master of wireing. |
