BATMAN 01-06-2007, 09:33 PM Must have's
RWD or AWD (preferred)
Be fun
Unique (not some dime-a-dozen sedan like the Camry, Accord, etc.)
Here are the options that I have started to consider:
STi
'03+ E55
Infiniti FX35/45
G35 Coupe
Cayenne
Also, reliability will be weighted since this is more for daily usage and hauling around people.
Any ideas? Suggestions?
Say No To Pistons 01-06-2007, 09:48 PM The FX and the G is dime-a-dozen... Well, they're a dime-a-dozen here since i see them more than Camrys and Accords.
The Evo 8/9, Legacy GT, STi, and Cayman gets my vote. Maybe a used Carrera 4 or 4S.
Never mind... Take away the Carreras and Cayman. Put in the Audi RS4 (or S6), Infiniti M45, and E39 M5.
How much are you willing to spend and are you looking for used or new cars?
$100T2 01-06-2007, 10:18 PM If you want to haul around people, then you just eliminated the STi and G35. Unless, of course, you're hauling around circus midgets. I looked at both of those, and the back seat is seriously just for insurance purposes of calling them 4 seaters. It's like putting a back seat in an FC, who are they really kidding?
Manntis 01-06-2007, 11:31 PM +1 for an Audi. Their quattro is as good as anything out there, but you don't see them at every stoplight. They also make excellent interiors.
aznpoopy 01-07-2007, 03:54 AM STI or WRX
done
yeah the backseat is small. 'm 5'11" and fit in the back of a wrx. sure its cramped, but its hardly useless ... unlike the backseats of a 240sx.
BATMAN 01-07-2007, 12:09 PM I'm gravitating towards a used car. Like a few years old.
Something that will give me great value and still be covered by extended warranty that is sold aftermarket...
Tofuball 01-07-2007, 01:57 PM Used Impala SS, from the last year when they were RWD. Nice.
Either that or a classic like a GTO :)
Manntis 01-07-2007, 02:27 PM Audi A4 or S4, BMW 3 series (although, globally speaking, a common car. Can you believe those account for 40% of all BMW sales every year? Like 400,000 cars per annum, yet) or VW Tuareg
$100T2 01-07-2007, 03:55 PM Used Impala SS, from the last year when they were RWD. Nice.
If it didn't snow so much here, I'd rock one of those. And, there is a conversion kit available to put in the T-56...
meddle 01-07-2007, 04:16 PM certified a4 or a6.
Cosby 01-07-2007, 05:43 PM a4/s4
SpartanTS 01-07-2007, 11:15 PM X5 4.4L
FX45
Cayenne
If you're hauling people/cargo around, I'd go with one of the above or something similar. All have RWD/AWD, decent power, and comfortable seating.

Nice for 1995 maybe. The leather was awful along with the rest of the Fisher Price sourced GM interior.
More of a collector item than anything. I sure as hell wouldn't want one for a daily driver.

I got a friend who took care of his, everything still looks immaculate.
I can't complain!

Say No To Pistons 01-08-2007, 01:50 PM How much are you going to spend batman?!?!
BATMAN 01-15-2007, 05:56 PM I was at a local car show today (factory cars) and after browsing through the different make and models I've narrowed it down to the FX45 and the new Acura MDX.
The MDX is better in interior features, fit and finish, not by a long shot, but noticeably better.
The voice activated GPS is the shit.
"Find the nearest mexican restaurant."
BAM!, it gives me the top 3 in my current area.
The sport package now has the electro magnetic suspension technology found in C6 and cadillacs.
bBasically it samples the road conditions and driving style and adjusts to best suit one's driving needs. All in milliseconds.
Gorgeous interior.
Exterior - I rather have the FX45.
Perhaps I'll get a used FX45 and after 2 years the MDX so that I can rest assure that whatever "bugs" it may have are sorted out.
$100T2 01-15-2007, 06:56 PM I would roll the FX45 if I could fit in it comfortably. They are damn good looking.
BATMAN 01-15-2007, 07:23 PM It's a daring design and people either like it or not.
Apparently there are Stillen mods, including superchargers for the FX-series.
What color?
Black with black wheels? or silver?
Say No To Pistons 01-15-2007, 08:17 PM The 20 inch stockers looks fine with a black FX (with the new silver taillights). Classy but not flashy.... Cleannnnn.
SpartanTS 01-15-2007, 11:26 PM I like the new MDX's features, but I think the styling is a bit over the top. However, brand new, for the money, Acura can't be touched when it comes to feature content.

Why not? Those things are so sexy even though they're everywhere...
