Would it be worth it. They say it is a growing industry but are there jobs accually needed. What is the pay like, and is the job accually fun.

The only reason I bring this up is because, well Im not sure if my choosen career path is the right one, which is auto/diesel mechanics. I like working on cars in my spare time, but I have learned that I do not like working on them as a full time job. So I want to try something new before I waste money going to a high performance school and end up in a job I cant stand.

So is there anyone here that is in this career field. Just wondering is all.

It would be a lot of fun! Do you want to go more for the animation side or the programming side? I work as a programmer (not for a gaming company) and I think my job is fun. I'd love to work as a game programmer, but eh whatever.

Here is some info that might help you out --> http://jobs.ea.com/

I'd highly suggest you go to the store and pick up this month's (or last) Game Informer magazine... They did an article about what it takes to actually break into the gaming industry...

There's a LOT more to it then one would think....
