wtf are you injecting your kids with??? i have read that you lot who immunise your children get 36 injections before the age of 5 so i want to know what is it that you are immunising your kids against???

most of those injections are booster shots. basically the same anti-whatever, repeated in 2 or so years. in all, i believe there are only 10 dieases we are getting our shots for.

Misty Rayne

but 36??? out of those 11 shots 90% of them are boosters.

i think the thing that gets me is that american parents (i know it's a generalisation but they are the only country that are saying it) are saying autism is caused by the MMR shot (i am sure they will pin it on another shot when it becomes popular) which is crap imho, it's a neurolgical disorder which is why when getting a diagnosis they ask about family's history with mental illness apart from the fact there are plently of kids who have autism never had the shots.
sorry rant over, i just wanted to know what you were immunising against

If you read the CDC site, they use the word "recommended" a lot...which leads me to think that some vaccines like rotavirus and flu are not "required", but "recommended".

over-doing it just makes your kid's immune system weaker, I had very few shots, just toughed it out, and now I essentially never get sick....as in, not in at least a decade

good nutrition is everything, pumping a kid full of shit is not the answer

we know. you don't have kids to give you any. moreover, good nutrition is not a free pass to stop being a host. why don't you post where you are good at. cars and...well, cars and bikes. bye.

Anyone who says the MMR immunization causes autism is a fucking retard.

These shots are basically either modified live or killed viruses. By injecting these modified (non-pathogenic) or killed viruses into the body, the body then creates antibodies that are specific to the disease. Once created, the antibodies generally last a lifetime. As a child's immune system is not as well developed as an adults, they are generally given "booster" shots to ensure the continued production of these antibodies.

That's because many parents today are ridiculously fucking stupid. These are the same parents that boo hoo when their kids are held back a grade or get upset that a little league baseball game has to have a winner and a loser. They are the same ones that will call the cops if someone spanks their kid. Basically, they are detached from reality.

I believe in immunizations. Dunno about 36 shots though, I think my oldest (7) son has had no more than 10. I go with whatever the pediatrician recommends (gasp!).

I'm more concerned with my boys not running out in front of cars, stabbing themselves or other people with sharp implements, and learning to share.
