Not cheap either, at least when compared to lenses of similar aperature, size, and focal length.

Here is a good example:

Nikon 85mm F1.8D (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/84151-GREY/Nikon_1931_Telephoto_AF_Nikkor_85mm.html) is ~$365

The perspective correction (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/186251-USA/Nikon_1458_Telephoto_PC_Micro_Nikkor.html#specific ations) or "tilt-shift" equivelant, although a slower lens at F2.8, is nearly $1,400 :eek:
