svaillan 03-12-2009, 06:49 PM hey I would like to know what tires you guys have used and what you think of them. I need to get some new ones for a 400WHP+ RSX so I am thinking about Nittos or Falkons so if any of you have something to add please do. $100T2 03-12-2009, 06:54 PM If you have a 400 whp RSX, then you shouldn't need advice on tires. Tofuball 03-12-2009, 08:29 PM I had the Kumho's on my vert before, I liked them a lot DarkAngelKamui 03-12-2009, 09:23 PM +3 on the Kumhos. I've got a buddy who swears by the brand. Alex-7 03-13-2009, 12:32 AM If you have a 400 whp RSX, then you shouldn't need advice on tires. +1 I guarantee he is completely full of shit about that. I'd go so far as to say: Back that whp claim up in 24hrs or ban? Alex-7 03-13-2009, 12:34 AM 400+! WHP....... LOL! I feel like I'm at nopi! ......fucking liar........ DeRFmAn 03-13-2009, 01:37 AM they are "Falkens." for a guy with a car like that you sure don't seem to know much. Tofuball 03-13-2009, 04:54 AM +1 I guarantee he is completely full of shit about that. I'd go so far as to say: Back that whp claim up in 24hrs or ban? Aw comon, it's a car forum. svaillan 03-13-2009, 06:25 PM If you have a 400 whp RSX, then you shouldn't need advice on tires. because reading tire reviews will never be the same as first hand experience so I would like to hear what some of you on this forum have used. I have heard good things about Kumhos but from what I know they take a while to get to operating temp. And word to the wise advice is only going to make your car perform better they day you think you don't need it is the day you will stop learning. svaillan 03-13-2009, 06:31 PM +1 I guarantee he is completely full of shit about that. I'd go so far as to say: Back that whp claim up in 24hrs or ban? yeah it's not possible that I would be telling the truth......I wish I had a bigger peepee :( here is a link to my profile on CRSX, I don't have any there is a list of mods for you to try and call out and some pics of my engine bay in my albums. If you don't feel like reading it I have a Full-Race stage 2GT kit on my car....with some other stuff!?! http://forums.clubrsx.com/member.php?u=70158 svaillan 03-13-2009, 06:32 PM lol Lulz......I heard your short!!! svaillan 03-13-2009, 06:36 PM lol look at my CRSX profile if you think I'm a ricer.....I needz th3 kewlist b0dy k1t f0r my Carz....then I will get all the bitches!!! svaillan 03-13-2009, 06:40 PM you have to be logged in to view....have a dyno sheet you could post? sorry I didn't know that you had to be logged in to view the page, I don't have a dyno sheet because the tune that I am running is not mine. Last time I was home to do the install I didn't have time to dyno the car so I got my friends tune. We have almost the same build so it was the best way to get the car back on the road......but he made 404whp in Texes during the summer and I was driving the car in Wisconsin in the middle of the winter so I don't have any dought that I was making a little more then he was. I am pushing 15lbs from a GT30R on a sidwinder manifold. I will post my info here in a second let me copy and past it. svaillan 03-13-2009, 06:41 PM About svaillan Occupation USN Location Mota...Sicily..Yep Italy Year 2006 Make ACURA Model RSX TYPE S Color GRAY Intake RBC intake manifold and that spinny thing Header No header Manifold to that spinny thing though? In truth your right I can't say that I have exactly this HP rating from my car but when you are looking at supporting modifications it is really good to have an idea of what torque and hp numbers they are going to need to support. Further more with the same car, almost the same turbo kit (mine is a little better then his....in my mind) and the same tune and colder ambient temps would make the same or more HP then he would. svaillan 03-13-2009, 06:58 PM here I got a pic for you guys....now maybe back to tires!?! svaillan 03-13-2009, 07:02 PM eh....you're full of shit your right the guy that mad 670 was on 32 psi but we had another guy make 650 some on an Evens tune with 27psi. If you think I am bullshitting then how does it feel to be wrong. I take it you think you know a lot about cars.....could you tell me a little about yours.....what manifold your using turbo A/R's suspension frequency, do you even know what spring rates you have? svaillan 03-13-2009, 07:19 PM what's going on YZF-R1.....searching the interwebz to try and figure out what I am talking about.....and just think the only person you have to thank for making youself look stupid is yourself.....sadface :( $100T2 03-13-2009, 09:00 PM About svaillan Occupation USN Location Mota...Sicily..Yep Italy Year 2006 Make ACURA Model RSX TYPE S Color GRAY Intake RBC intake manifold and that spinny thing Header No header Manifold to that spinny thing though? I'm an OS2.....it's ok. svaillan 03-14-2009, 07:31 AM lol...I really could care less, I thought you were here to ask about tires, not boast about your friend's dyno sheet while acting like it was your car  yes, I wish I could be just like you in your RSX    man thanks for getting this back on subject, so yeah tires, I'm going to run two sets one for the track and one for the street. I want a 225/45/17 for the street and a 245/45/17 for the track. that is about as big as I can go in the front without having to roll my fenders. I might run offset tires in the rear depending on how well the car rotates but that is something that I would like to work out more with my dampeners and roll bars. $100T2 03-14-2009, 08:46 AM I'm an OS2.....it's ok. Former Hospital Corpsman here. Fendamonky 03-14-2009, 01:08 PM eh....you're full of shit another ricer....I'd blow your little shitbox right off the road in my FD Dude, numbers don't count regardless due to the differences from one brand of dyno to another, even when we're talking about the same car. If you want to really be a douche about it then try to tell me that I'm full of shit when I tell you I'm running 400rwhp @ 19psi on BNR's. I think it's already been established that my FD can rip your little re-spray job a new asshole. Steve, how much more pull does my 7 have then your RSX? Considering that both the FD and the RSX weigh just about the same... that should be a pretty fair comparison for the other guys who jumped on your ass about your estimated whp figures (who gives a fuck about Mark anyway? He'll talk shit till you're blue in the face). Fendamonky 03-14-2009, 01:45 PM that's been done before, by Rich, I'm prob about 380 myself Rich made 421rwhp @ 17.5 with a streetport. That was the point where his fueling stopped (iirc it was his pump, possibly secondaries as well). You're full of shit on your power claim. You're "probably" 380? Sorry bud, but by your own words earlier in this thread, "probably" doesn't cut it. Please try to keep your hypocrisy limited to the Religion section. yeah, whatever...you're such a little prick, my car is NOT repainted, it's just not horribly faded (and smashed up) like your car, son...sail off a cliff. You're laughable.... Just to clarify, by saying that I mean you are so easy to laugh at. 1revnrex 03-14-2009, 06:18 PM http://************.com/attachment.php?aid=28 http://www.popsucker.net/images/popsucker/fastandfurious.JPG wonner 03-14-2009, 06:24 PM YZF lives his life a quarter mile at a time. Cant understand Who the fuck would troll this forum to ask about tires? Fendamonky 03-15-2009, 04:55 PM this turned into an AWESOME thread. lol! ..... I still don't believe the OP has ever dyno's his Civic... If anything I'd call it an Integra, lol. And the OP already admitted that he's not had his car on the dyno. He's using the map from another RSX with very similar (if not identical) mods to his own car. The 400whp number is what the guy who's map he is using made. Obviously he will tweak the map on a Dyno when he gets stationed in the States again. I've not been in his car since before we both got stationed overseas. Though I know personally that he is an honest guy and has no need (unlike some guys here) to make up shit on internet forums in an attempt to feel superior. Cant understand Who the fuck would troll this forum to ask about tires? Steve didn't come here to troll, he's a (real life) friend of mine and he's got the right mentality for TFL, so I invited him to join when we were chilling in London earlier this week. svaillan 03-17-2009, 07:59 AM fuck just had my wisdom teeth out yesterday.....not that fun. Levi it is hard for me to tell what my car feels like compared to yours. your they are both very fast but you are able to get a lot more traction in you're car. In mine if I am not gentle I will have no traction threw the first three gears, the car just slides back and forth with the LSD.....so tires boost by gear and more practice with the car and then I will comment more on comparing the two......fuck, you will be back in the states soon enough we can go to a track day and find out for real......hit your suspension up so we can kill some road courses! svaillan 03-17-2009, 08:04 AM this turned into an AWESOME thread. ..... I still don't believe the OP has ever dyno's his Civic... Cant understand Who the fuck would troll this forum to ask about tires? LULZ dude I didn't have time, I had it dyno tuned once when it was N/A and it was 202WHP and 170 LBS. I don't live in the states and I didn't have time to tune the car after installing the turbo kit last time I was home......fuck I worked on it for three weeks then as soon as I was able to start driving it started snowing.....FMLlife.com  svaillan 03-17-2009, 08:05 AM /thread ibyoumasturbatetolittleboys:eek: |
