hey I would like to know what tires you guys have used and what you think of them. I need to get some new ones for a 400WHP+ RSX so I am thinking about Nittos or Falkons so if any of you have something to add please do.

I had the Kumho's on my vert before, I liked them a lot

because reading tire reviews will never be the same as first hand experience so I would like to hear what some of you on this forum have used. I have heard good things about Kumhos but from what I know they take a while to get to operating temp.
And word to the wise advice is only going to make your car perform better they day you think you don't need it is the day you will stop learning.

sorry I didn't know that you had to be logged in to view the page, I don't have a dyno sheet because the tune that I am running is not mine. Last time I was home to do the install I didn't have time to dyno the car so I got my friends tune. We have almost the same build so it was the best way to get the car back on the road......but he made 404whp in Texes during the summer and I was driving the car in Wisconsin in the middle of the winter so I don't have any dought that I was making a little more then he was. I am pushing 15lbs from a GT30R on a sidwinder manifold. I will post my info here in a second let me copy and past it.

ok, well, what your buddy made doesn't count, you need a dyno chart for your car before you can make a 400 rwhp claim, esp at 15 psi....25 psi I might believe

lol congrats you know nothing about a K20 15psi is right around 400 depending on the type of exhaust manifold you are running and 25psi will be closer to 670whp......by the way an RSX is FWD so RWHP is a little hard for me to come by. In truth your right I can't say that I have exactly this HP rating from my car but when you are looking at supporting modifications it is really good to have an idea of what torque and hp numbers they are going to need to support. Further more with the same car, almost the same turbo kit (mine is a little better then his....in my mind) and the same tune and colder ambient temps would make the same or more HP then he would.

your right the guy that mad 670 was on 32 psi but we had another guy make 650 some on an Evens tune with 27psi. If you think I am bullshitting then how does it feel to be wrong. I take it you think you know a lot about cars.....could you tell me a little about yours.....what manifold your using turbo A/R's suspension frequency, do you even know what spring rates you have?

man thanks for getting this back on subject, so yeah tires, I'm going to run two sets one for the track and one for the street. I want a 225/45/17 for the street and a 245/45/17 for the track. that is about as big as I can go in the front without having to roll my fenders. I might run offset tires in the rear depending on how well the car rotates but that is something that I would like to work out more with my dampeners and roll bars.

I'm an OS2.....it's ok.

If anything I'd call it an Integra, lol. And the OP already admitted that he's not had his car on the dyno. He's using the map from another RSX with very similar (if not identical) mods to his own car. The 400whp number is what the guy who's map he is using made. Obviously he will tweak the map on a Dyno when he gets stationed in the States again.

I've not been in his car since before we both got stationed overseas. Though I know personally that he is an honest guy and has no need (unlike some guys here) to make up shit on internet forums in an attempt to feel superior.

Steve didn't come here to troll, he's a (real life) friend of mine and he's got the right mentality for TFL, so I invited him to join when we were chilling in London earlier this week.

fuck just had my wisdom teeth out yesterday.....not that fun. Levi it is hard for me to tell what my car feels like compared to yours. your they are both very fast but you are able to get a lot more traction in you're car. In mine if I am not gentle I will have no traction threw the first three gears, the car just slides back and forth with the LSD.....so tires boost by gear and more practice with the car and then I will comment more on comparing the two......fuck, you will be back in the states soon enough we can go to a track day and find out for real......hit your suspension up so we can kill some road courses!

LULZ dude I didn't have time, I had it dyno tuned once when it was N/A and it was 202WHP and 170 LBS. I don't live in the states and I didn't have time to tune the car after installing the turbo kit last time I was home......fuck I worked on it for three weeks then as soon as I was able to start driving it started snowing.....FMLlife.com :mad:
