Then the trip started getting bad. I ran out of gas because the gas gauge didn't work, i got a container, put some gas in and was on my way, I took the wrong exit and ended up in my ex girlfriend's town (Yeah, i dated a girl that lived 150 miles away). I had to go past her house because it was the only way i knew how to get back on the appropreate interstate. I get back on the Interstate and my car dies again, i figure "What the fuck, i just put gas in it." I pour some in i had left over from the container and no go, i pop my hood to find this.

No big deal, i started bending it back with my fingers and was going to put the cap back on, then i notice the belt to my water pump and alternator is snapped. Okay, we'll tow it, back to my ex's town. We get to Wal-Mart and there were firetrucks everywhere, appearantly someone tried lighting the place on fire, whatever, i get my rope because luckily they're still open.

Back to the car.

I had to stare at the license plate of his car for 4 hours because we tied it too close, nearly rear ended him countless times.

We left at 1pm and got back at 4am (13 hours), 30 minutes spent at the destination.

Previous owner of my "new" car informed me there was some kind of problem with the title before i picked up the car and he would be getting a new one in the mail soon. I've a feeling this isn't going to happen, when he handed me the keys he said "Pleasure doing business with you" and was gone from the parking lot i met him in before i realized it. I sent him an e-mail with no reply, but i haven't given it much time.

What is the process for a lost title? How long is this going to take usually? What kind of fees?
