My Pioneer headunit, not quite 2yrs old, is having troubles ejecting most CDs nowadays. It used to eject it about halfway then sit and wait for me to take it out. Now I'm lucky if the edge of the disc even makes it past the "lips" on the slot. :yumyum: I'm sure I'm not the first person that's had this problem, :wiggle: anyone have any suggestions for  repairing this? :siren: It's getting really irritating having to dig and pry at the thing just to switch CDs. :boobies:

And BTW, I don't know why iPut the random smilies in there.

I'm guessing you don't have the reciept or any sort of warranty still around?

If so, i'd consider contacting Pioneer and seeing if they have any recalls or tech benches available....

Best to ask around and see if it can even be fixed first before you start thinking about repairs...

It *had* a 1yr warranty, got it april-ish of 2004, so i know it's out. Volume knob pooped off november of 04, got that repaired under warranty.

Do the rollers get dirty, clean them with a qtip and rubbing alcohol or something? Is there something I can do as far as the mounting goes to help it along?

Yeah, try cleaning the slot with a Qtip and light rubbing alcohol.....it couldn't hurt, right?
