Friday afternoon, I leave to come back to Columbia for spring break. I'm ridin down I-26 and BOOM. Front tire blows out. I had no spare (This is odd considering when Tibby was doing my breaks, we talked about that happening). Anyway, I had to slowly get my car up an exit ramp which put me in a lil town called Joanna.
I found a junkyard, but it was 7 miles down the road. So my girl and I had to walk all the way there to get a full size 14" tire. Turns out, the damn tire won't clear my break caliper. So I had to get another full size tire, this time off a Honda Civic. It works, but it scrapes the caliper a lil bit. I had not much choice, so I took my hammer, banged the rim of the tire enough to clear the caliper. Hence this didn't really work too well. It still scraped the caliper for 60 miles all the way back to my house. The most annoying noise my car had ever made next to the CV axles when they were f#cked up.
I get home to get a new tire put on. I hear a knocking noise as soon as I start driving on the new tire. Turns out, all of my studs to hold my wheel on were broken, so my wheel could have fell off at anytime creating a huge accident. So I get that fixed, cost me about $60 bux.
In the mix of all that, my parents hand me a letter sunday night telling me that "Bryan, you have jury duty this week Son!" Mind you I had no idea that I was gonna have jury duty, so I had no dress clothes. I had to go to Walmart at 12 am and find some pants. So on my spring break, i'm in court all f*ckin day at a whopping $10 a day. Great way to spend spring break.
There's more. Today, my car decided to pop the top heater core hose. It was kinda chilly, so I had no heat and it ran hot like hell. I had to fix that at AutoZone with barely no light and a screw driver.
Well, that's my interesting life. I've been in court cases all day, my feet hurt, and my car has had a mind of her own in the past couple of days. The only good thing is that my new computer parts are here Athlon 3200+ with a Gig of Ram and a GeForce 5950 and a bad ass case. And I'm going to Carowinds for the opening weekend.
