BATMAN 10-07-2005, 10:59 AM I was at the dentist yesterday afternoon (no cavities) and she was complimenting and thanking me for brushing my teeth before going to her.
She went on to say that most of the people that come in for a routine clean have terrible breath and she spends most of the time cleaning their lunch from their teeth before the actual cleaning process.
Same thing when I visit a Dr. for anything. I'll hit the shower first.
Same thing when I drop off my car to get worked on. I'll steam clean the engine, detail the inside and wash and wax the outside.
Dentist, Dr. and mechanics are all people regardless of their edumacation. If u present something or urself cleaned u'll get more respect and better treatment.
Thanks for the tip that common sense would never assist in figuring out.
Alex-7 10-07-2005, 11:08 AM When I go to the bathroom, I wipe my ass first................
Teh Noob 10-07-2005, 11:39 AM Yeah, my dookie likes it when I have a clean ass to start with
AmishBoy 10-07-2005, 12:11 PM I even scrape my teeth before I go to the dentist. I don't wash my car though.

Say No To Pistons 10-07-2005, 04:16 PM steam cleaning engine compartment? MmMm melted plastic...but yeah i do do a detail before getting my cars worked on. but its usually have 4 layers of sealant and 2 layers of topper already.
Supper 10-07-2005, 04:20 PM when I go to the doctor its usually an ER visit. Not really any time to hop in the shower when your shoulder is so bOrked you can't move it, or blood is spurting from your arm, or any other number of reasons.
Dentist, yeah, i try to brush my teeth before I go, but usually I get a call from them at work saying "We just called to remind you that your apointment starts in 15 minutes."
Car... HAHAHAH!!!!!! clean it before I take it in? riiiiiiiiight, usually if its being taken in for work its just after getting back from a job where we broke something on the pickup and it goes straight into the shop still covered in mud, cow shit, blood, whatever was on it/in it/under it.
and I do probably 80% of the work on my own vehicles. Except after looking under the hood of the new pickup, it might just be worth it to take it to a dealership...

rx-7_Z06 10-08-2005, 06:12 PM I brush my teeth before my dentist appointment. Less scraping they have to do.
Savington 10-08-2005, 06:21 PM When I send my kart motor in for internal work, I never clean it before hand, for two reasons:
1. It's a pain to clean; the chain lube I use turns to this black goo that even Brakleen won't take off.
2. When they have it all dissasembled, they just throw everything into an automatic parts washer and it comes out squeaky clean. Not too tough for them.
Gabberguy 10-08-2005, 06:47 PM Shure, I shower/brush before going to the Dr. or Dentist...
Do I clean my car before its going to the shoop? no...
