eh well this fool imed me the other night on a racist screen name "n1gg3rs" something or another. talking about his wrx and how he had a stealth intercooler and the stock scoop intercooler and that he was running a twin turbo setup. when i know damn well on a wrx to get better hp you have to ditch the stock one and install a front mount. and he claimed to be High Tach Wrx. without me saying anything about that screen name to begin with.
OH YEAH and claimed to have the front mount intercooler painted with "space shuttle paint". anybody in the world knows that spraying on any kinda paint on a intercooler usually kills the cooling abilities.
and space shuttles dont even HAVE paint if im not mistaken.
isnt it more of thick ass plates that can withstand unknown degrees of temperatures.

ive seen quite a few twin-turbo hondas on honda-tech but none of them use a sidemount and frontmount combined i think. dont know about the space shuttle but nasa.com might help you out with that one.

you don't have to ditch the stock intercooler to make power...and a fmic is not the way to go all the time...it's more for bling. piping is way to crazy.

TMICs almost always get heat soaked and perform worse than FMICs.

what kind of i/c and radiators do turbo MR2s use fm, tm or sm ? ive never really looked at their engines...

Side mounted Intercooler....front mounted radiator

the I/C is in teh side vents on the passenger side i believe

in regard to WRX intercoolers, ive read that aftermarket top mounts have hardly any gains over the stock unit.

if you running a large turbo, then the extra pipeing to run a fmic isnt going to make a big diffrence becuase your going to be moving a much higher volume of air. fmic on a stock turbo.. boo

the stock unit falls flat when you're running a large turbo...but the japanese/european STi intercooler is around 40% larger than the stock USDM TMIC and will work better than a FMIC, which i'm still considering. the big drawback to the wrx is all the stuff you have to buy to get an upgraded turbo

turbo, injectors, tuning, and a fmic/tmic. it all adds up

If you're running a big turbo you probably don't care about a little lag when you compare it to the lowered intake charge temps.
