didn't see a thread on it yet. oh well. good movie. go watch it.
natalie portman can act! wow. quite a surprise, after her stilted performance in star wars 1-3. i guess her shitty performance there really is all george lucas's fault.
hugo weaving is also becoming one of my favorite actors. his voice is very unique... and yet it can come across so many different ways depending on the role. elrond, agent smith, and V... looking foward to more movies from this guy.
the movie is a good mix of action, political bullshit, and serious drama (!). it doesn't take itself too seriously. but what it does say gives the audience some food for thought, even if it only dealt with it superficially. it is an action movie, after all...

I really enjoyed it but I think the title makes it sound like a cheap action film. But some probably thought it was.

Yup - she was good in The Professional, and she was only 12 or so @ the time.

Check out "Priscilla: Queen of the Desert". He and Guy Pierce play drag queens

u should use that talent to create the next new bible.
Natalie looked poportional in the Professional, but when she grew up it looks like she didn't get enough milk........

Back on topic, I thought the movie was really good. Kind of interesting how much like Hitler they made the Chancellor out to be.
Go see it, and then TP YZF's house.

long, boring, predictable, stupid ending...."twilight zone"-esque stuff I've seen many times before....unnecessary political commentary, what was all the lesbian crap?
it's not just a hollywood movie. it's based on a comic book from the early 80s. the wachowski brothers moved the time frame foward about 20-30 years to make it relevant to the modern day. they changed some plot points as well to make it fit. (references to "america's war", etc...)
the bible movie would be cool, but i might have to walk out when we get to the three hour long sequence when enoch starts rattling off the 3 mile long list of people who beget other people.
