In my Principles of Investment Class, we're playing around with $500k of "fake" money. We're competing to see who's gonna have the best stock picks from now until December.
So far i've picked
Office Depot - ODP. It's been surging up and falling some lately. It's at $29 a share and it should rebound soon.
General Motors - GM: I'm short selling GM. I'm sure the stock will fall over the next couple of months.
Intel - INTC: No specific reason, other than they're releasing some new processors soon.
Any good pics from you all? I still have about $400k to play with.

I was gonna pick apple, til they released news about problems with their nano.
Novell, Sirius.
Home Depot and Lowe's should sky rocket after natural disasters such as hurricanes.

Just got 2000 shares of Home Depot and Lowes
Novell is cheap, but not sure about the short term growth.
Sirius is overvalued right now at well over 200%, that may be dangerous for my portfolio:)
How about Toyota and Honda? Higher gas prices + fuel efficient cars = profit

I'll wait til Apple takes another dive. Once they start marketing their intel based machines, that stock will probably go up big time, especially if they start making a dent in the Home PC market.
