I have been asking all kinds of questions of this lady, and one thing continually comes ot mind that she cannot answer. I asked her why she thinks she should profit from Jesus, and she says that asking for $25K is the same as what a priest in a church does to survive....She currently has four auctions like this going on--three identical ones, and then a fourth to reveal the exact place where she met Jesus. She says that you can go down in history!!! What a crock....

1--you would NOT email someone over the internet? What exactly would you call what you do to try to correct others in the two forums? You see something that does not fit with your faith, and you call people on it, no? How is that any different? How many PM's, emails, and posts in threads do you make regarding spiritual things to others that you believe to be in error? Let's not have the pot calling the kettle black, ok? Seriously....

2--Where do you get the idea that emailing someone equalls vengeance? Simply asking a question and pointing out things from Scripture hardly constitutes vengeance, Mark. You do this all the time ,and according to you it is what you should do, but someone else does it, and suddenly it becomes "vengeance"? I dont think so. You are reading far too much into this.

3--Consider the Bereans, who questioned everything they were told that was supposedly from God's Word. They wanted it verified before they would buy into it--so they spoke up, checked it over for themselves, and that was a GOOD thing. no, I don't see Christians performing any supernatural acts. I believe the sign gifts passed away with the apostles and their associates, and I could back it up from scripture with time, but not here

My take on the supernatural events of the past...

If these events did indeed happen, there's a completely logical reason why they don't occur now, and I believe that is technology and failure to believe. Could you imagine if someone parted the Atlantic and started to walk through it? The world would either be in complete chaos or would flat out not believe it.

Also, technology aids us in finding explainations for things that don't occur under normal circumstances. So if it rained 40 days and 40 nights, some meteorologist will figure out why, and we'll all see that "Oh this weather system blah blah blah, and that's why it happened."

2000 years ago we didn't have literally any technology, so there was no explaination for the supernatural. But i'll tell you this, if Mary were living in this day and age, and popped up pregnant while virgin, that would defininately require an explaination.

neither would there be an explanation for the dead being raised in self obsessed "we have it all" 2006

So why do such nice Christian folks use Hell as leverage?

i.e. "You can not believe all you want, but i'm going to heaven and you're going to hell in a handbasket. So you better believe, or you're going to Hell!"

Boy are those words of encouragement to convert me to Christianity.

It doesnt matter how 'good' you are. You're not good enough. I'm not good enough, YZF isnt good enough. We all fall short of what is required to get into heaven (perfection, perfect love, perfect sinlessness). We are all sinners by our own choise. We are all bound and deserving of eternal hell.

But God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone believing into Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God did not send His Son into the world that He might judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him!
