Please be completely descriptive regarding specs, age of components, alterations, and conditions.
Scratch-free screens with zero dead pixels is a must.
RAM must be expandable to 512MB or greater. (Doesn't mean it has to have that much to begin with.)
CPU must be Intel, preferably P M

Well I don't personally keep stock of laptops, but I usually have some clearance stuff that comes in from time to time that I usually send back because I don't want to take a loss.
Anyway, I recommend checking out the "Dell Outlet". You can find some pretty good deals with a Pentium M and 512 of Ram under $700 for certified refurb. Less than $600 usually for scatch and dent stuff.
