If we get involved in a massive conflict where it is necessary to mass produce Naval vessels, Planes, Choppers, Missiles, Weapons yada yada yada, THAT is a war. That would help our economy and give me a boner at the same time. It wasn't during any war that we got an economic boom, it was after. Look at WWI, after the war we had great economic times until the Great Depression hit (mostly due to monopolization IIRC). After some economic restructuring, WWII came and went and then we had the booming 50s. For the most part, the opposition couldn't match anything against the US, which explains why we were able to take the capitol so quickly and how we were confronted with guerilla tactics and suicide bombings. |
