SpartanTS 03-06-2006, 10:25 PM It's dead, and this will get more attention here than the General Car Forum. The topic speaks for itself...so discuss :) vrooom305 03-06-2006, 10:45 PM STOCK honda civic R281 03-06-2006, 10:50 PM 2001 Mustang GT I guess. I can't speak for the Civic because it's only afew months old. Problems with Mustang: 1. Leaky rear dif in 2002. Took me about 30 minutes to repair and cost less than 30 bucks. 2. ABS module gave out late 2005. Cost about $700.00 :( That's it. Not bad for a Ford. All of my other cars were used and had their share of problems. SpartanTS 03-06-2006, 10:52 PM My current commuter, the 98 Chevy Cavalier (2.2L pushrod) refuses to die. I bought it at about 94k miles or so, and i've used and abused it. 10k miles between oil changes and all. I can't say the same for any of my import cars i've owned :( SpartanTS 03-06-2006, 10:54 PM The 97 Taurus we have needs a f'n timing chain. I can feel it slipping every now and then. Other than that, it's done pretty good so far. I need to find out whether it's an interference engine or not. I'd hate for it to break and take the engine with it R281 03-06-2006, 11:14 PM edited for clarity :) Yeah what I said. :) aznpoopy 03-07-2006, 12:13 AM 1993 toyota camry Ryosuke91t 03-07-2006, 12:27 AM 95' Nissan Maxima. wonner 03-07-2006, 03:36 AM 88 Honda CRX - stock Tofuball 03-07-2006, 09:25 AM Stock 89 Corolla SR5. Carburated. 44mpg. Hades12 03-07-2006, 10:45 AM 96 Civic. Bought it new. Only work done on it was cause of a wreck. DarkAngelKamui 03-07-2006, 12:14 PM 2006 MX-5 Sport :D Either that, or my 87 Honda Accord DX rx-7_Z06 03-07-2006, 01:25 PM '87 Honda Accord. ComradeGiant 03-07-2006, 03:16 PM My 83 RX-7 oddly enough. Nothing could kill that thing. I drove it down the 210 freeway in LA, on a Friday at six o'clock, with half the fins on the radiator uncoiled, after driving it six hundred miles earlier in the day, and I made it from 5 to Ontario at an average speed of 3 miles an hour. It went on to last me two more years with no breakdowns or problems, logging 30K a year. Solid as a fucking rock. ComradeGiant 03-07-2006, 03:16 PM Double post. Fuck! fcdrifter13 03-07-2006, 05:10 PM 88 LXi turbo. No probs after the mods or before. Really want another if someone is selling. 93 corsica, had to replace the belt at 130k the other day, it was swapped and then swapped back so about 100k on the original motor. 86 Chevette, 20 years old and no problems. Do avoid a 79 Ford f-150 Ranger(yes they did make those in full size) with a 460. youll drop a rod sooner or later. Only funny if you were on the chat a couple days ago. 91lx 03-07-2006, 08:01 PM my 86 civic si... took a beating... http://www.theforumlounge.com/d/4924-4/Cody_082.jpg adaMxX6 03-07-2006, 11:06 PM 89 prelude si. ugly ass temporary car. but i beat the hell out of it and never had a problem with it. even sat for a few months before i could get it sold....still ran like a champ though SpartanTS 03-08-2006, 09:44 AM 89 prelude si. ugly ass temporary car. but i beat the hell out of it and never had a problem with it. even sat for a few months before i could get it sold....still ran like a champ though I had a Prelude also. Mine wasn't ugly, it actually looked pretty good, but it gave me hell the entire time I owned it, so now it sits at my parents home and my dad drives it sometimes. 2ndGen.Rocket 03-08-2006, 11:01 AM Oddly enough it would be my GXL. I always had some sort of weird electrical problem with it, but the car always got me from point A to point B for years. Well, until I blew the motor. Cosby 03-08-2006, 11:29 AM most reliable: 95 wrangler followed by the 89 blazer s10 because it ran on 5 cylinders for 20,000 miles with no parts replaced other than spark plugs for the dead cyl. most unstoppable: 95 wrangler fastest: 93 RX7 most unique: 89 rx7 with 2.2L turbo engine most transmissions shattered: 88 MX6 GT Cosby 03-08-2006, 11:52 AM cody, we should have taken better pics :) I have a nice camera now so we can do that again... I have a 4x4 blazer s10 Im either going to trash or part out if i cant get a title burnoutking999 03-08-2006, 01:07 PM i bought my 93 F150 in 97 with 88k on the clock. i have since brought it to 182k. ive put a waterpump, trans(my abuse), and a starter. still going strong and will kill many things like stock 5.0s, lt1s, etc. the only thing tougher ive seen is my dads 79 ford 4x4. NOTHING, can destroy that thing! NOTHING, can destroy that thing! You have some pretty slow 5.0s and lt1s in your area. Unless it's modified, your not going to beat them around here even if their 100% stock. burnoutking999 03-09-2006, 12:44 PM You have some pretty slow 5.0s and lt1s in your area. Unless it's modified, your not going to beat them around here even if their 100% stock. yeah, its not stock. but i cant do it anymore. the head gasket sips water and i hear a timing chain talking to a rod knock! oh well, time to buy this... http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=510547&page=1&pp=15 hopefully mine in a few weeks. |
