GTR R32.

We are getting it ready to go to Hot Import nights on the 30th in seattle.

We took off the brake rotors and calipers, replaced the brakes, repainted the calipers red..

After that i did a little tuning on it...

I screw'd with the rev limiter and the fuel setting to blow some huge ass flames.

that didnt work, so i put the rev limiter back up and leaned it out abit...

its a PFC FYI

Would you reccomend a s14 with a sr20det? since you worked on nissans do you think it would be a good performer? and can keep up with the shows? god i sound like a ricer..im tired.

My buddy has a S14 with a SR in it, its a very nice car. He drifts it very well (could be opeing the drift can of worms)

If i had some extra money id love a 240 with a SR in it. ive driven quite a few of them, a nice car

If you wanna be really special, you can get the blue top motor... 280hp stock. bigger better turbo ect...

you want it to keep up in show you gotta make it nice hehe.

id go really tasteful mods since their doesnt seems to be many "plan jane" 240's out their, most have shitty body kits and shit....

get alot of rare JDM parts ect, you might acutaly win a show or 2 depending on how big the show is.

were putting the 32 and the sil in just for fun. no way in hell are either cars going to win

Well im talking local shows, not big ones. I dont see many 240's in shows here at all. Mostly ALL honda's some tasteful some not. Im not into body kits or big wings, the one thing that bugs me about s14's is the rearend i just do not like it too much for some reason. Im looking for a car (i liked fd's and fc's and fb's obviously) but fb and fc are a little too old for my taste and fd's i cannot afford upkeep. So im just throwing choices around, at one point i was wanted a integra GSR with a turbo but FWD isnt too bad but isnt too great either. The FR platform is much better. Do you know any sites that sell motors? i tryed looking on nippon but cant find the sr20det for the s14, it said for s13 but does it matter? As you can tell my nissan knowledge is very little.

gasp you want to get into nissans...

its a easy swap. you change one heater hose on the back.

the s13 redtop is in the low 2000s cost wise

s13 black top is a few hundred more expensive

s14 sr20det is 3k+ easily

s15 sr20det is very expensive... 4500 i think if not more (and it doesnt fit properly in s13 chassis, but it works in s14s)

if you want to get the swap done properly you'll need more then just a 240sx and the engine. IMO, you need a 240sx, sr20det + engine, ecu, harness, intercooler, piping, downpipe, exhaust, clutch kit, engine + tranny mounts (stock work, but 240 mounts are usually all fucked)

i would go beyond this and reseal everything with new gaskets/rtv, clean it out, and put in a lightweight flywheel as well. i would also add some kind of a boost controller, turbo timer, etc.

heavythrottle.com has a good FAQ on the swap, and they are a very reputable vendor

also remember after all this, you still have a moderately peppy car (not fast by any means), with crapped out suspension, worn out brakes, bad interior, etc.

there's alot of work to be done!

On a side note, a friend of mine just picked up a 1991 240 SX hatch, and dropped in an RB20 motor in it. That thing flies like a raped ape. It handles like shit tho (guess form the huge increase in weight from the motor), but for straight line runs, it's awesome.

First time i've seen a skyline motor in person. Even tho he is still currently running the stock restrictive exhaust, the motor sounds like sex. I'll take pictures of it, and if I quit being lazy, i'll upload the pics. You'd never expect this car to have it bc it's all dented up and shit. Great sleeper car.
