I currently swing a Life Application hardback NKJV and have a back up softcover NIV 365. Both are pretty worn out. The blades are as sharp as ever but the handles are falling apart. I also pack a few NKJV or NIV NTs when I hit the street cause I can conceal them on my person without being so conspicous. If you're into street fights like me, you know that the bigger swords tend to intimidate opponents.
Having matured a bit, I think I'm ready for an NASB with Strong's numbers.
What do you guys pack?

I like the ESV and NAS...considered by the best scholars to be the most accurate, although I usually quote the NIV for ease of reference
ESV and NAS eh? Does NAS mean NASB? Does Strong word search Strong?

Most of mine are NKJV. Two are NASB.

your task was to spread the message, not to determine who will or will not ever hear it. That's left to God. it isnt upon us to say 'that one deserves to hear God's Word' and 'that other one over there, well, he doesnt deserve it'. Jesus didnt ever command the chosen to decide amongst themselves who God will or will not choose, and you know it. Otherwise, do you really think that Saul would have been saved? When Ananias questioned God about going out to Saul, was he right in doing so? Or did God set him straight? Think it over....yes, God created weeds--but it isnt your task or mine to determine who is a weed and who is worthy. We simply dont get to pick and choose. As one of the chosen, it falls upon you to get the message out to as many as you can and then let God do the rest. Ananias was sent to reach out to a guy who routinely imprisoned, tortured, and even killed Christians, and youre saying this about a guy who speaks against you on teh intarweb.....think long and hard about that before replying.

Thats the beauty of God's grace--even in what seems to be the most impossible situations, God shines. Thats what makes it so great. Who among everyone thats been chosen has not been 'stony ground' in their life somewhere along the way? If God can put His grace in my life, He can do anything. Thats the mindset we should keep.
