the everclear thread got me to wondering, whats ya'lls favorite drink. ive had a few beers tonight...you can never go wrong with that.

anyone have any interesting recepies?

Gin, brandy, and rum, in that order, for distilled spirits.

Gin: Seagram's Distiller's Reserve (102 proof), either in martinis or gin & tonic.
Brandy: E&J VSOP, in a snifter.
Rum: Sailor Jerry, in Cuba Libres or in shots.

I also make up a batch of Romulan Ale every now and then, it's pretty good mixed with sprite, or in shots if you prefer oblivion.

When I hit the sushi bars, I'll usually order a sake. But that's only for rare occasions.

For beer, my favorites are the Belgian Trappist ales. Chimay Grand Reserve, Trappistes Rochefort 10, and Westmalle Tripel.

For cheaper beers, there's a whole slew I enjoy. Old Rasputin Imperial Russian Stout, Eye of the Hawk, Rouge Dead Guy and Chocolate Stout, Anyinger Celebrator Doppelbock, and Highland Oatmeal Porter, to name a few. I'm also a big fan of Sam Adams. Boston Lager, Double Bock, Winter Lager, Scotch Ale, Heffewiezen, Black Lager, and White Ale are my favorites.

If I'm low on moneys, I'll go with Yuengling in cans (no green bottles, to often have I gotten lightstruck Yuengling).

If I'm REALLY short on cash, or I need large quantities of beer to go with cheap food, I'll grab a case of Pabst Blue Ribbon.

Alcohol that I DON'T enjoy: Vodka, Tequila, most liquers, and grape wines.

100 proof Southern Comfort and 50/50 or sour, guranteed to make your night or day be a lost memory

Usually just Beer, just discovered a local brewery about 30min away, they have a good mix and I haven't had a bad one yet. Otherwise it is Michelob Golden Draft Light, or High Life. But I will drink anything except Miller Lite

197 proof or 200 proof Eth.

Not good to run the vehicle on anything less :P

Anything but gin. I hate the taste.

I love vodka, mixes better with anything else.

and i prefer vodka martini, jacked off, not stirred.

Gin and tonic. Bombay Sapphire preferably. I do also like margarita on a hot summer day by the grill. No mix, just tequila, triple sec and real lime juice.

I had a bad new years involving a large bottle of vodka couple years back, cant seem to handle the hards like I used to now. So for once, I agree with yzf-r1

moderation in all things....

Now I'm content with a smirnoff ice or two.

ill drink anything thats clear. whiskey, etc....no thanks

Used to drink nothing but high end Scotch and good blended Whiskey.

Now when I do drink, as rarely as it is, I drink a beer or two.

Boy, I really shouldn't have made that romulan ale again. It's getting me messed up again.

But a fresh batch is just so good. It's also good mixed with tonic water, with a wedge of lime.

I wish I got birthday kegs. All I get for birthdays are circuit city gift cards and dinner at the all-you-can-eat chinese restaurant.

Damn, I'm glad I drank all that tonic water. If I hadn't, I would have been hella hung over this morning.

One of my friends mixed a gallon of apple juice a gallon of apple cider and a bottle of everclear...stuff doesn't taste nasty but hits Hard

Just about anything with everclear hits hard.

Everclear and warm apple juice with cinnamon sticks. We call it apple pie. Great winter drink.

I never was much of a drinker, now even less so. That said, when I do indulge I'll typically have a beer or two, usually Corona. For hard liquor I'm a sucker for dark rum and coke. I suspect since I haven't been hitting the sauce much lately, if at all, that it wouldn't take much to render me unconscious.
