Thinking about installing ZR1 or Z06 17" rims on the truck.

275 all around.

to make thi happen I'll need 2" thick wheel spacers.

Since it eliminates the center hub, should i worry about the stubs snapping off due to alll the load being distributed along the 5 studs instead of the center hub?

I highly doubt you'll have a problem.

Yah you can have a problem.

When using a wheel spacer or adapter you run into the problem of taking the center load off of the bearing and moving it to the out side of the bearing. You want to look for a spacer that is "hubcentric" so that you dont place the bearing load onto the lugs.

:soapbox:

The other problems you can have come from an extra piece of metal between the mating surfaces of the wheel and hub. You run into a greater chance of the wheel not being seated right or torqued down with enough tension to hold the wheel on. I have seen wheel bearings prematurely worn out due to the load change that 1revnrex talked about, even with hubcentric spacers. The position of the weight still moves further out on the axle and puts more stress on the bearing. I won't sell them and won't recommend them. Bottom line is those wheels were not designed for the truck, especially for weight capacity, and if you have to add something or modify something to make it fit you shouldn't be putting it on a vehicle that could kill someone.
