I currently have an analog G-shock. Thinking about change of watch.

Both are atomic-timekeeping & solar/battery powered. Basically I'll never have to worry if the time is accurate and if the watch is going to work.

This one MSRP for $400.00

The first one has Titanium-coated wrist band.

Perhaps that is where the jump in price comes from.

my view on watches is eather wear an $8 timex, or spend your money on something with a nice swiss clockwork movement.

$400 for a watch with a $5 quartz movement?
It wont be worth anything imidiatley after you buy it.

But then again, if you really really like it. Get it. But get the anolog one.............................................

It's cheaper than that on market price. More like $250 from the cheapest tha I have seen.

I've always worn G-shock.

Tough as watches.

and now they have a luxury/elegant appeal to them.

Also I like that they are solar and atomic.

I'd go with the third one. I love analog watches, but the G-shock is too cluttered in analog form these days.

My current watch is this $35 G-shock that I bought at costco.

Sorry for the small pic since that is the only one that I can find.

That face is a dark/blue face.

Sorta bored with it and since it has a scratch on the glass, I like to use it as a beater watch.

On second thought I could get the 1st and 3rd one since they are different (metal band vs plastic, analog vs. digital)

I've had one similar to this one for the past two years. It's a great watch, never more than a second off from the digital timeclock at my job, or the clock on my cable box. That's about as accurate as you can get.

I've dropped it off a three-story balcony onto concrete, and it didn't even phase it. And whenever it dies out, you can stick it under a table lamp overnight, and it recharges about halfway. Leave it under for a few days, and you can go months without seeing daylight, and it will still hold a charge, even through repeated use of the backlight.

The thing about the Rolex is that a few guys at work already have Breitlings, tag, and Rolex.

I don't want to be that conforming (in case ya'll haven't figured it out ;) )

Isn't the whole idea of a cluttered watch suppose to mean that it's expenive through defination of vast details?

I like the third one. But I like black plastic or nylon. I use an IronMan timex as a daily work watch.

That watch looks like the cousin of the watch that they give to police officers when they retire.

The first one has Titanium-coated wrist band.

Perhaps that is where the jump in price comes from.

My watch has an actual Titanium wristband, and it still only cost me $55 bucks used. ($150 retail) Nicest watch I have ever owned, and the most reliable (sans my old Timex Digital that refuses to die. I am hard on watches, too (broke 3 in 6 months once).

I just found out that Costco has this for $229.00

It's gorgeous in person. The way the titanium looks makes it look like a Breitling or some high end watch.

I'm not a big fan of G-Shocks, they just seem cheap to me.

To me, they are just metal versions of the $5 Timex's at K-Mart; except they cost 100x as much.

I, personally, prefer a more classy, less cluttered watch.
