I wish a lot of people here would understand that that site wants/needs to move in a direction that doesn't cater to them and they'd stop causing drama and trouble over there......cause it's pretty gay.

a range ban, an entire IP range.

Not just your exact IP, but your entire range. So not only would it ban you, but it would ban anyone else in your IP range.

There are also varying types of temp bans.

On the few servers I'm a mod of, we can kick and temp ban all we want, but to actually have the owner permaban someone (permanently deny their IP address via the firewall) it takes unanimous vote between all the mods.

Usually we just fuck with the noobs by not actually temp banning them, just continually booting them from teh server and removing one priv at a time everytime they come back until all they can do is read chat. If they last that long, we reinstate all of their privs and welcome them to the "family"

Its even better when you get the ones that try to fight back, then you just ping flood em and let their own computers boot them off the network.

Don't think I'm the "7 champion" at all, however I do feel that the mods/admin are right over on that forum, so I'll voice my views on the subject if there's a thread here. I've only been stiring the shit with you guys.....like I've stated, voicing my views about the topic that's being discussed (and my views on some of the people talking about said topic). And I do defend it because that site is important to me, it's helped me through 2 cars (FC, FD) and I've made quite a few friends over there.
