I'm packing up the Explorer Thursday and i'm sleeping in the car that night so I can grab on Friday morning. eBay Profit should be around $400. That's worth my time fighting with people that morning.

As of right now, systems are going for $1,000 give or take.

Thought about it, And I bet My buddy in Atl is going to do it, If I was still there then I would get in line with him.

The morning that the 360's launched they were on ebay that night for well over $1,200. We even found one guy that had the premium system with the 10 games (I think...all of them anyway) that we're released at launch and 2 extra controllers (for a total of 4) and it sold for 6 friggin' grand on ebay. Now that's a hell of a profit margin! I think the PS3 will be about the same unless they release a lot more than Microsoft did.

I ended up getting my 360 Premium about a week later for retail $399. I called every Best Buy & Circuit City in the area and found a few about 60 miles away.

Personally, i'd never pay over retail for a system. But i'm willing to swindle some idiot who doesn't want to wait in line.

Well as far as the 360's were concerned they didn't release very many at all the first time so they just weren't available and lots of people wanted them right off the bat so if you were lucky enough to get one then they were a major commodity. And yes....some people live to play video games...luckily, I'm not one of them. I can wait.......

I can imagine that the PS3 launch is going to be just as bad, if not worse. I'm not a fan of the Playstation series, and I already have a 360 so i'm buying then selling immediately.

360 Premium was well worth $399. I'm not convinced that the PS3 will be worth $599 for the premium version. I could give a shit about Blu-Ray, and the games I play are available on the 360 anyway.

All 7 inches of our snow has melted already, hopefully we get some more by saturday for deer season. Although south of here where I go got 16inches and there is still quite a bit in the woods

Well, I was unsuccessful in my hunt for a PS3. Every retailer I visited had entire families camping out in tents, trailers, etc., and had been there since early Thursday morning.

This sucks. PS3 are going for around $1,500 on ebay.

There are a few people camping out at my local bestbuy. my friend said some dudes in van's were camping and decided to whip out a few bon fires in the parking lot :rofl: .

I'll buy this when it's down to $199. No sooner.
