jhammons01 09-12-2007, 01:51 PM LOL the OP made the same thread on rx7club and has the same creepy avatar. You must really love britney
I made the exact same thread on........
RX7 Club
theforumLounge
JamSession
Here
Corvetteforums
Cut and paste baby.
Many times I like to hear what other forums say about my thread subjects.
And Yes, my avatar and my Screen name remain constant from forum to Forum. I never understood why someone would change their identity as they flip from forum to forum, unless they want to hide something.
You'll also note that I have many friends from other forums. They immediately recognize me and I them. i.e. JonesfromIndia, when He made his introduction thread, I immediately said hello to him.....
Why do you change your skin from there to here? I've never heard of a Melicha8 on the 7 club..... nor have I seen your avatar over there.
this is a good topic maybe I'll start 6 threads about it.....
Supper 09-12-2007, 01:55 PM I don't keep the exact same SN on all the different forums I belong to because sometimes they are taken. Its always some variation of "Supplicate" "Supper" or "Sup" though. Don't use the same avatar on all of them either because of size restriction differences, though most of them come from the same stock.
Only forum I don't use one of my "standard" avatars on is the Archery one because their limits are so strict you pretty much have to use one of their default ones.
jhammons01 09-12-2007, 01:57 PM You understand the focus of the question quite well.
yes, forum limitations on avatar size is a reason for my slight changes as well.
Supper 09-12-2007, 02:16 PM You understand the focus of the question quite well.
yes, forum limitations on avatar size is a reason for my slight changes as well.Heh. I used to change the name on every forum, but man was that a bitch trying to remember all the log/pass combo's. That was also many many many moons ago when I first became an internet whore.
Vert8813B 09-12-2007, 02:49 PM I have a totally different name on VWVortex.com, but the same on 7club.
Queen 09-12-2007, 03:13 PM so I can limit the extent to which the notorious stalkers of TFL can lurk around me on the internet?
wotnartd 09-12-2007, 03:29 PM Heh. I used to change the name on every forum, but man was that a bitch trying to remember all the log/pass combo's. That was also many many many moons ago when I first became an internet whore.
Ergzactly.
I must've had a dozen post-its around my PC and then I was like, "Fuck it, we're going scorched earth," and I've dominated my small corner of internet ever since.
Eatmyclutch 09-12-2007, 08:48 PM You want to battle me? Well, I fight the power.
OP:
I dumped 88IntegraLS because I owned an IHI lysholm supercharger based rotary powered FC when I joined here. If I could make a new name it would be 5.0 FC.
I'm sure you can surmise that I choose the object of my affection at the time of forum joining to become my user name. And besides, if you typed my real name into a search engine, there would come up a bunch of hits for a certain gay actor....... I don't want to be associated with that.
jhammons01 09-13-2007, 11:58 AM ^^you used to be 88Integral??? I remember you from mostly the 2nd gen section years ago...
Did you have the conjoined twins avatar?
cool_as_crap 09-13-2007, 12:48 PM Oh, THAT guy.
Tofuball 09-13-2007, 12:56 PM *removes his mask to become 88IntegraLS *
GASP!
Alex-7 09-13-2007, 04:26 PM I always use the same name.
Unless of course, it's a covert op
^^you used to be 88Integral??? I remember you from mostly the 2nd gen section years ago...
Did you have the conjoined twins avatar?
Yeah that's me (the avatar is the cover of Van Halen Balance). And I still own the FC that I did all those wacky threads about, years ago. :)
GASP!
Yeah that's right, I'm the guy who had a great time with his megasquirt but gave up on it after three attempts to make the VR conditioner circuit daughter board. The megasquirt problem was the final straw to convince me to follow my V8 destiny.
Richter12x2 09-18-2007, 10:32 AM Yes, but a carb'ing a v8 because you can't master the complexities of EFI is still failure. :D
BATMAN 09-18-2007, 10:36 AM I'm either BATMAN or BATMANS, the latter if someone got BATMAN prior to me.
And I use caps, so it's pretty hard to find me ;)
Richter12x2 09-18-2007, 11:01 AM I used to just be Richter, but every once in a while I'd find that it was already taken - now I don't even try Richter, I just use Richter12x2 everywhere I go. (My birthday is December 12th, hence 12 x 2.)

There is a batman on the Corvette forums.....
sorry for you and sorry to say, but that guy is as big a liberal pussy as Elevation7 ever was.
Makes you look bad.....just being associated with him.
DarkAngelKamui 09-18-2007, 12:01 PM Yes, but a carb'ing a v8 because you can't master the complexities of EFI is still failure. :D
D'owned :(
lol

It wasn't so much the fuel injection / tuning that was the problem, it was trying to tie in a homebuilt circuit into a main board that I built from a kit. The main board worked like a dream and I had a lot of fun tuning the fuel map on the na rotary (made it drive a lot better, too), but getting a reliable CAS signal was impossible after three attempts (yes three tries making that damn daughterboard)
I did opt for an EFI induction system on the 302 but with stock computer. I'd still like to get a megasquirt on it though because the fuel map is too rich in low end and lean above 3k rpm. I guess those cnc ported heads, E303 cam, shorty headers and tfs intake allows too much airflow for the stock map and besides, it's fun driving a fast car looking at a laptop and pressing keys as you eye the G meter, trying to maximise the torque through verious rpm ranges while thrashing a curvy road. :)

You've got that yellow one, it's in a small pic in your avatar, right?
*edit*I didn't even know you posted the two pics right above this post. Yeah, I remember you. Always with the Christ...

wtf, the dude made an assumption and owned himself by stating something that made it obvious he was talking out his ass....... although it sure is fun cheerleading smacktalk, eh mate?
:D

Nice, how are you liking that e303 cam? I'm building a 302 for the Mustang and I've been looking at the e303 cam with GT40p heads and an explorer intake to get started. What kind of numbers are you seeing, or have you had a chance to dyno it yet?

Nah, I was just giving you shit - truthfully there's nothing wrong with carburetors either, but since I grew up with EFI, that's what I understand. Carb's are PFM to me. It's like drinking a coke by putting the straw barely above the surface and sucking hard. :D

Yeah, it is actually :bigthumb:
I rarely get to have any battles of my own these days :(
toyo7 09-19-2007, 09:51 AM i was thinking about switching my sn from this one to the one i use on the supraforums. i only use those two and thats because of my different intrests at the time i started each name.
Richter12x2 09-19-2007, 10:25 AM If I were on a toyota forum, I'd change my name, too. :D

DarkAngelKamui 09-19-2007, 02:57 PM Hahahahahah, nice edit! :D
Richter12x2 09-19-2007, 03:03 PM Thank ya! :D

I like the E303 a lot but when I switched it in, I also got rid of the stock mustang manifold and went with the tfs unit, so it's hard to say how it compares to the wild cam I had before (custom grind, 236 degrees duration on 110 lobe centers). It does idle a lot better and my cats don't get all hot from all the unburnt fuel. I'd recommend the E303 because it is a nice way to get more top end with a mild lope at idle, and most people like them too, judging by how much people pay for used ones on ebay.
I haven't dynoed the car and I didn't get a chance to hit the drag circuit this year. I'd certainly hope it would be in the healthy 12's. :D
Richter12x2 09-20-2007, 09:37 AM Yeah, this is going in the wife's car, so I'm tempered by trying to make horsepower while keeping it fairly tame. It'd be nice to end up with ~300hp when I'm done, but realistically, I'm only expecting 270 or so. Anything's better than the whopping 145 hp v6 it's got now. (Although it may be as high as 160 or so after porting the intake and heads, and the GT exhaust)
