Obviously that is due largely in part to Datsyuk and Zetterberg but stat wise, Ovechkin, Malkin and Iginla are equal or better without as strong of a supporting cast. Washington is performing better than just about anyone expected as they've got a decent shot at catching that 8th playoff spot. Calgary is underperforming but they are still in the thick of things for the division lead and virtually all of their success can be attributed to Iginla. Vert8813B 03-24-2008, 09:40 PM Washington has Buffalo right on their ass. One point ahead. Ovechkin has 60 Goals, but I don't really see him being more valuable than Datsyuk or Zetterberg. Iginla has some goals, but it hasn't put his team into the playoffs already. Only Detroit and San Jose have clinched so far so I use that as my deciding factor for choosing one of the two. |
