Anyone know the websites I'd need to visit or have any tips to help speed the process along?
I'd really like to go south for the winter for a "working vacation" and I'm sure that I can find a job down there.... or perhaps out west.

Terrh 11-27-2006, 11:54 PM How hard are these to get, any idea? And roughly how long does it take? Anyone know the websites I'd need to visit or have any tips to help speed the process along? Terrh 12-04-2006, 12:23 PM lol screw that. I still haven't found any info on it but I think I'll go north and freeze my ass off instead, but actually make some money in the process. Ark2 12-04-2006, 12:30 PM I hear it's supposed to be a mild winter anyway. Alex-7 12-04-2006, 02:44 PM I hear it's supposed to be a mild winter anyway. Not if you already live in canada, and are talking about going north. Ark2 12-04-2006, 06:48 PM Not if you already live in canada, and are talking about going north. I do live in Canada. Granted I live in Southern Ontario which is nothing when compared to a place like Thunder Bay. At any rate, I've heard predictions that this winter (in Ontario at least) will be more tolerable than those past. czarofzar 12-04-2006, 06:55 PM I'd really like to go south for the winter for a "working vacation" and I'm sure that I can find a job down there.... or perhaps out west. Job? doing what? jhammons01 12-05-2006, 01:00 PM Meddle is right, since when do you need a Visa? 12 million Mexicans aren't enough proof? Plus, Just working through the Winter in a warmer climate is easy, just give out one of the most common SS numbers in use today 123-45-6789. What do you care about US Taxes etc. Just take the paycheck, party, and leave in the summer. Terrh 12-05-2006, 06:21 PM well, I wish it was that easy but I don't think that's really the best route eh? I drive a cement mixer up here but the season is pretty much over, it's probably one of the best jobs I've had, pays well, is easy and you never ever hear the words "middle management".. best part is, my desk has a steering wheel. So I'd be interested in doing that, driving a dumptruck or whatever works too, I have my full license (basically I can drive anything with wheels) and as far as that goes, it's probably my best chance at making money.. I want to try and pay off my debts (currently mounting at like $13k! wtf. :() and hopefully save up some money so I can go to university next fall. |
