Chemicals to bainwash the cricket to jump into water . . .

It probably tells the cricket to do that so it can go on to try and infect certain types of fish. In this case, it just chose an improper body of water.

I found this a bit interesting, it goes into the detail of how the worm takes over.

Pretty big worm for a small cricket. It's only a matter of time before we have a big worm inside of us making us jump off bridges.

I read a figure once that an estimated 50% of Americans have some type of parasite living inside of them and are unaware.

Ever seen the stories of smaller worms, which are visible, crawling through peoples eyes?

WHAT???? :(

Subconjunctival migration of an adult worm to the eyes can also occur frequently, in this is the reason Loa loa is also called the "African eye worm." The passage over the eyeball can be sensed, but it usually takes less than 15 min

If someone else is looking at your eye... they can actually see the worm moving around in it... I saw it on discovery or something, pretty sickening.
