Well folks, the WRC is just like MLB it seems cause as soon as the season ends, the bastard starts right back up again. *Before I continue, for those who don't know Subaru's Richard Burns took home the Drivers championship and Peugeot took the Manufactures championship, AGAIN for the 2001 season. But anyway, Rally of Monte Carlo has just been wrapped up and I've got the standings so far for the 2002 WRC.

Drivers standings are as follows *(top 7)
1st goes none other than Tommi Makinen in the Subaru Impreza WRC taking home his 24th WRC win. (yea thats right folks, first rally in the Impreza and he wins 1st place, take THAT Mitsubishi).
2nd goes to Sebastien Loeb with Citroen (look out for this guy, he is the youngest driver in the WRC and he can only get better)
3rd goes to Carloz Sainz with Ford
4th goes to Colin McRae, also with Ford
5th goes to Marcus Gronholm with Peugeot
6th to Peter Solberg with Subaru
7th to Richard Burns with Peugeot

Manufactures champion ship standing are as follows (top 3)
1st Subaru *12pts
2nd Ford * * 10pts
3rd Peugeot *4pts
The Rally of Sweden is taking place right now, so I'll post the results of that as soon as its over. *<img src="http://www.spartanburgracing.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif" border="0" valign="absmiddle" alt=';)'>
