Any of you guys know anything about? Im gettin ready to attempt a reflash of the Xbox bios, Im having boot issues big time. Any thoughts or warnings?

I put a modchip in mine....ran linux...then evox for a long time.

My problem was the 2X boot into a flashing green/red led. Im gonna try a softmod and see if that fixes it.

What happened is I was doin the pot tweak on the DVD drive and I got it loading/saving/reloading games again (finally!). I go to put the drive back and when I reset the Xbox I get the FRAG code! I tried everything I could think of and I cant get it to boot anymore, none of the traces on the board are bad or anything.

If this doesnt work Im gonna send it to llama.com with 79 bucks for a refurb, Im not gonna buy a new one with 360 comin out.

What code was showing in the upper right (maybe left) corner?

I'm a softmod guy myself. I've had some fragging issues with Mod chips. I use Avalaunch for my dash, and I wouldn't have it any other way.

Usher my box was fraggin BEFORE I started to try the softmod, I hopped on Efnet in the Xbins channel and started downloadin some shit last nite. I soldered the two points on the V1.0 board to disable write protection but I think I have a bad DVD drive.

I have Splinter Cell :Chaos Theory and I think I can do the softmod with that title but I cant get it to boot, I get the 2X boot and flashing red even after I disabled write protection.

Confusing to say the least.
