jimlab 09-28-2005, 12:33 AM This may be a repost, but you can file it under "I don't give a fuck". :D http://www.otbackup.net/files/AdriaBmwDriftCrash.mpg IHI 09-28-2005, 12:38 AM Jim, I think you would enjoy an airplane. Are you familiar with the Lancair line? They are pretty affordable considering how fast they are. http://www.lancair-kits.com/Legacy_images/Legacy_1_lrg.jpg jimlab 09-28-2005, 12:49 AM Sorry, no interest in airplanes. sir rupert hobo 09-28-2005, 12:50 AM Jim, I think you would enjoy an airplane. BATMAN 09-28-2005, 01:08 AM drifting is gay. u can see it when race cars are just about to crash...... Ultralights 09-28-2005, 02:10 AM ahhhh the old lancair, AKA Doctor death! DRIFTING IS FOR BOATS! r0t0r-rooter 09-28-2005, 04:24 AM The link doesn't seem to work. vrooom305 09-28-2005, 07:59 AM that's because it's so ghey that it's been banned from the internet DarkAngelKamui 09-28-2005, 08:01 AM lol, oh joy... More anti-drift kids.... $100T2 09-28-2005, 08:43 AM Drifting is cool! Jesse James said so on "Monster Garage"!!! ComradeGiant 09-28-2005, 02:55 PM I like that people who like drag racing rip on drift. Come on people, you cant like something gay and call something else gay. Alex-7 09-28-2005, 03:33 PM I like that people who like drag racing rip on drift. Come on people, you cant like something gay and call something else gay. At least there is a definate way to tell who wins a drag race............. as oposed to who can be the biggest gook and wave their arm out the window while they slide their car around for judges who are bought and sold buy the sponsoring companys and home town favorites....... ComradeGiant 09-28-2005, 03:39 PM Its a business. F1, CART, NASCAR, they all do it. Even NHRA will tweak rules to favor certain drivers. Whats refreshing about drift is that they don't beat around the bush. They let you know up front that they're biased. Besides, it pisses the hippies off more than just about anything in the world. Alex-7 09-28-2005, 03:44 PM F1, CART, NASCAR, they all do it. Even NHRA will tweak rules to favor certain drivers. . Nope. ComradeGiant 09-28-2005, 03:47 PM You think? Why is it that F1 keeps changing its rules, if they're not trying to knock Michael Schumaker off the top rung? And thats just the most blatant example. No, the only unadulterated motorsports anymore are hometown auto-x clubs. Alex-7 09-28-2005, 03:55 PM You think? No, the only unadulterated motorsports anymore are hometown auto-x clubs. Fool, A rule change from season to season is a lot different than a rule change during a race. which is is essentially what happens durring a drift event, because whoever they want to win......WINS! If the FIA in fact where trying to get schumaker of the podium (which they aern't) and could play by drifting rules, they could simply tell him he didn't win. Real racing is heavily sanctioned, drifting is not racing, yet they try to instill a sense of compotition with their bullshit judging. Shut up, --Alex firestarter810 09-28-2005, 08:37 PM k... so drifting is not really a sport, imo. Thee's too much 'aesthetisc' in the judging, or at least thats what they try to tell you. But I don't think anyone can deny its hella fun. Supper 09-28-2005, 08:41 PM I don't consider it a sanctioned racing sport or anything like that. But I do admit it takes some skill, I can do it on slick roads, but dry pavement and have it look under control? riiiiiiiight... firestarter810 09-28-2005, 09:02 PM I also think that drifting is also about knowing your car and its limits of adhesion under load... Keeping on the 'grip' side of that line, is road racing, while breaking loose is drifting. You have to know and be comfortable with both to be successful at either. So drifting and other forms of racing have more in common than everybody thinks. vrooom305 09-28-2005, 09:38 PM ^ good point!!! for example, in NASCAR it's SO cool when they drift into the cement wall!!! |
