I would have to say my favorite knife of all time is the McHenry & Williams:

of which I've owned 2. Planning on picking up another one soon.

second most favorite would have to be the Mini-Reflex:

I've been carrying one or the other of those two every day for the last almost 6 years now.

I really like the Buck spring assisted knife that I picked up from Wal-Mart a few months ago. Let me try to find a picture...

BTW, how big is that McHenry & Williams? I wouldn't mind picking one up if it isn't too big. Also, what kind of lock/lock release does it have?

I was thinking about picking up one of these Kershaw's: http://www.multipurposetoolsngadgets.com/images/kershawkniveskocentofantetungstendlchandleblackbla deplain.jpg

Or one of these Gerber's: http://www.multipurposetoolsngadgets.com/images/gerberknivesar300blackserratedclampack.jpg

Any experience with either? I used to have an old Gerber, and the blade seem a little weak; but I think that may have been caused by the fact that it was $5.

The McHenry & Williams was the first of the "Axis" lock knives that Benchmade ever produced, it is nothing like any knife lock you have ever experienced, and IMO once you go to Axis a liner lock will never be the same.

Its about the same as any other mid sized pocketknife, the website says 3.9" blade length:

and I do believe that a plain edge is more versatile then a combo edge simply because of the different sharpening techniques you can use.

The only gerber I ever had was a multi tool that I broke about two weeks after purchasing. Never owned a Kershaw but know lots of people that swear by them.

I carry a Benchmade AFCK with the AXIS lock, it is a very nice mechanism, I love the knife. Also have a MOD Mark V, really big, I just leave it at home. Cool design though.

My favorite overall? Would have to come with the Strider name on it... But back in the real everyday carry knife world i would have to go with my spring assisted Kershaw... Just the right size, fairly light plus its black (and as we all know if its painted black it must be tactical lol)
